Can I augment with their wet, aware that’s not complete nutrition, or can you please do a review on good options for grain inclusive wet foods? Thank you. You are wonderful. I had asked about a while ago before much was known about about it so I am so appreciative you took the time to incorporate it. I really like the company. Lynda

Thank you for the videos! Very helpful with food selections. I do want to point out that SPELT is not a fish (stated at 20:26 and in other points of the video). You are likely thinking of SMELT, which is a fish. Spelt is an “ancient grain”, hence its inclusion in the formulas.

Saw your question, and just wanted to let you know: We brought our dog out of a 3 month nightmare of a food allergy reaction. After years of zero issues, we decided to try one of those "premium designer" foods. They deliver it to your doorstep on dry ice. Biggest mistake ever. Long story short, at the end of 3 months of troubleshooting, the dermatologist vet recommended Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin and Stomach, Salmon formula. Boom, she was cured. 3 months of terminal itching/scratching, gone. After watching Dr. Rae's channel and the Pet Food Puzzle Guy's channel for some time now, we are sooooo much more educated in the NUTRITION world of dog food.

@@mcbeezee2120I understand! When I got my Frenchie, her skin was awful and so were her ears. Her stools were not consistent and always runny. I took her off of chicken and beef completely and switched to Purina pro plan sensitive skin and stomach salmon formula. She immediately started getting better. I will say I fell for the "premium designer food" myself and started her on a certain delivery food also. She got very sick and started vomiting. I took her off of it and back on Purina pro plan we went. She has been thriving on that for a while now. I have found that any poultry such as turkey, chicken, etc., she has skin reactions. So fast forward some months, and after I watched one of Dr. Rea's videos on Ollie, I decided to give them a chance. So, my dog now eats half Ollie lamb and half Purina pro plan. She is doing amazing!

One little observation, while it is only available in a 33 lb bag, it is offered at a lower price point than the 26 lb bags in the other Ancestral Grain formulas. @@AnimalDocRea Hi,I am first time here but from Montenegro 🇲🇪 We had Farmina here for at least 20 years or more with Cibau line,Ecopet,Fun dog before ND came out it was produced in Italy only. My dog started on Cibau puppy, but for 9 years was on raw and homemade but had to go kibble so for a year we are looking for a food that suits him and to mention immediately - forget all US available food except some Orijen and Acana and forget almost all EU available (we are not the same as Croatia, not even Serbia) so if I want to feed brand constantly and decide we basicly have RC and Farmina and Happy dog (German) to choose from. Some Josera etc, brands I am not sure you guys have even heard of. So we have to choose from Farmina. Could you PLEASE help me with that as we changed at least 12 foods and brands in a year and he doesn't have to be on medical food although he had and has some isuess. And I can only choose from Farmina, any line for that matter, all available here ( no Cibau in USA) He is almost 11 wiredhaired mini shnautzer mix, was 100% healthy untill up a year ago except for some gastritis issues which got worse through years on raw and homemade as he would basicly eat only meat and hardly you could get him some veggies. Rice, quinoa, chia etc added but he was carnivore at least 85% and would eat a whole cow if you let him. Now he has 1st stage OA left him, spine degeneration h1g1 (he is 12kg and only was 10.7kg when he had acute colitis),has chronic gastritis (vets here are not so great but anything fried, more fat, scraps makes him smack his lips for months) Has BPH with cysts so we got him Suprelorin from Serbia and finally he can poo 🐾🙏 after 8 months of struggle (no vet meds here either, very limited, have to get all from Serbia,Croatia etc). The thing is - he HAS TO LOOSE WEIGHT, but - likes chicken - no chicken quinoa. Asparagus and broccoli in Mini Neutered Quinoa and crude analysis seems to be the one for at least 2 of his problems - weight and now chemicly castrated although I am looking more into proteins and fibre and higher fiber suits him. But he is not a huge fan of that one and likes Ancestral grains chicken (no Light nor Senior formula here) which is 18% fat. How can he loose weight on that one? ☹️ So now we mix Mini Quinoam Neutered with a little Ancestral grain Mini chicken (no grain free for him either makes him bloated) or Ocean Cod witg oats and spelt and had him on Vetlife Hypo Egg and rice for a week for his lip smacking the whole night. He takes Flexadin Advanced and Proxetin Symbiotic DC and it is ok BUT - how can I know what to do when vets won't tell you except those who sell RC for them there is only RC Gastrointestnal and all problems solved even OA and prostate - insane, just to sell the food. So I wanted to try to mix ND Quinoa weight management (instead of this Neutered duck) with Ancestral Chicken or Cod (just a little because he needs grains) or Vetlife Joint as he needs to loose weight primarly ... No help from vets or pet shop staff - if you feed your dog cat food they sell it and here big bags are opened and you can buy 300gr if you want to 🤷🏼♀️ Please any advice on dog who: Eats kibble only if you starve him as he waits for raw, scraps etc Has to loose 2kg asap Doesn't like boar, queil, venison etc only chicken and has to eat fish when I mix it and wet it (leaned proteins are for him as light as possible that is why I went for duck and he ate it and loved initially) Grain free not an option Needs more fiber Almost 11 years old Has an implant for chem castration Needs easy digestible food and more Omega 3 Which Farmina to mix? 🤮🤯🤯🤯 as my mind is spinning It can be Quinoa,Ancestral,Vet life P.s. when he eas some middle range brands with corn he is happy to eat those, the worse quality the more he likes it 🤕🤕🤕 Look at Cibau line as well,it is in all European sites of Farmina. Thank you SO MUCH 🐾🍀🙏🫂❤️ as I am about to go for ND Weight management at this point (according to calories and crude anylisis) or stay on Neutered but add Joint for 3 months... really out of options as main advice here is - let him eat whichever he likes 🤷🏼♀️

I have been watching and taking notes on dozens of your videos over the last couple weeks. But now, I have a few questions, haha. I know that generally most people don't suggest that you switch between foods. But if budget isn't an option, do you see any issues with the use of something like purina pro plan puppy then moving to something like the Farmina Ancient grains adult chicken and pom? Im trying to find a feeding plan for our upcoming pudelpointer puppy and as you know, there are SO many options to consider. But im wanting to find a puppy and an adult food that scores atleast a 9 or so on your grading scale for both life stages. Im not opposed to trying the Farmina puppy foods from this video, but to be honest im pretty confused at their targets and whether or not they are appropriate for my MAYBE large breed puppy. The pudelpointers size also make the food decision difficult because their adult size ends up right in the gray area of large breed or "regular" at 45-70lbs for male or female. I'm sorry, I know this is a lot of info, haha. Thank you so much for what you do.
