You can also do this in the Underground Path (between Cerulean City and Vermilion City) and Nuggets, Pearls, and Big Pearls will frequently spawn. Though there is no visible indication of their location so you have to rely solely on Pikachu's/Eevee's tail to locate them.

Fun fact: in the room with the all the glistening spots, there's a crystal in the center of the room, that's where you find your fossils! I collected an old Amber off mine

You can get infinite of them from the cave though, the reason you might want to do this is each time you resurrect a fossil theres a chance it will be shiny, also you can trade them for candies from the professor

Yes! Loving this game. My husband grew up with pokemon everything. He got me into it, and this is absolutely my favorite version. You can't go wrong with better graphics and additional new moves alongside original story lines. Not to mention having a pokeball controller! Can't wait for additional generations of pokemon to be added to it!

A few things to note from my own experience! In the large floor with the shiny patches: 1. The glistening rock in the middle is usually the one where I have gotten my fossils. They are not too rare! I have gotten 2-3 in the span of about 15 minutes. 2. You definitely do not need to leave the room or wait a very long time for items to respawn there (self-tested!) You can literally just run around in circles on the same floor and new items will always respawn at least within 20-30 seconds. Farming the items this way can also help you find chance shinies, or can be a great place to shiny chain while you get items.

Respawn is based on number of steps you take, i never counted but if you run around the whole room 2-3 times that is enough steps to respawn the items

PS people have also found that the moon stones in Mt Moon respawn. I also figured you'd like to know you can protect your combo by running away if you miss your first throw. I loved your video on combo chaining but I don't remember you mentioning this. It seems as long as the Pokemon your chaining doesn't run away or you catch another Pokemon your good you don't have to catch every Pokemon of the same type to keep that combo going you just cant let them run away from you!

All the items respawn every 15 minutes. Also, the longer you wait, the better items you get. Ex) wait 10 mins and get a poke ball and wait 1 hour and get 10 ultra balls

Definitely isn't time based. I didn't find any more hidden items, and when I put the game in sleep mode and returned 14 hrs later, there still wasn't any new hidden items spawned. I have also returned after three days, and there was only like two items that had respawned.

I'm farming stuff in Cerulean cave right now, and no joke I legit found 4 helix and 1 dom fossil in the span of about 10 minutes. so I can confirm it's not timer based how rare the item is! I found all of them a few minutes apart at the big crystal in the middle of the top floor, and the small platform in the basement that was mentioned here in the comments.

I found an old Ember in the Iceicle in the platform on the normal platform - all of its on the same floor. I also recommend placing a rattata as your buddy Pokémon as it will dig up items you can sell like pearls and stardust - even if there isn’t any items in the patch. Respawn of items in Cerulean Cave is time based in-game not daily like the other caves/tunnels. Balls I believe are 5 minutes and the others can take 15 minutes and fossils and Master ball (I think), take hours.

This is false, it is not based on time it is based on the number of steps taken, i found 13 master balls over the course of 5 hours of running circles around the cave. It takes the same # of steps for each spot to respawn, the chances of master ball spawning in any spot is less than 1% but i also ended up with hundreds of golden berries and fossils, good way to make money and farm shiny fossil Pokémon

Austin John --- The moon stones in mount moon are farmable too... I missed one of them in my first pass through mount moon and when I went back later they ones I had collected had respawned.

I found that catching Grimer on cinnabar island with Great balls for at least 20 times in a row, made it super easy to catch afterwards with pokeballs. That way i was able to only catch Grimer and get up to 5k exp when hitting it with excellent throw. I got my party up to lvl 100 in no time

Found Amber, Omanyte, and Helix on the top floor, next to the ice on the center “island”. They respawn randomly but I’m up to ten of each. There’s a chance of finding one fossil on the platform before you surf to mewto’s platform. If you surf around her platform, there should be a pp max at the end of the water channel. On the second floor, far left, close to the ladders that go to mewto, is a rare candy. Found many respawning golden razz, Pinap, and nanab berries, lots of ultra, great and poke balls but not another master ball ,yet.

At 6:50, I found a second Old Amber at the base of that giant crystal by the mound to the left of the ladder. There are some items that are hidden at the non-glittering spots, but from my experience, they're not very many.

That’s where I farm exp. The chansey there are high level and give great amounts of exp! I basically run around in circles chaining them and picking up items and have had great luck with it. Got 4 helix fossils and have stayed around a constant 160 ultra balls since i started farming

You can stay in the cave area and ride around a fast mount a couple laps in the room for fast respawns, got like 15-20 of each berry and a master ball that way. Pretty sure the master ball is really low drop rate because I haven't gotten another in a while.

Yes you can use the left joy-con, I am also left handed, and having the joystick higher on the joy-con is also more comfortable while you can use LZ as A aswell

Certain spots will spawn only golden berries, while others will only spawn the balls. (Normal, great ball, ultra ball, 10 ultra balls, master ball) Also, the crystal in the middle spawns fossils and max revives.

The item you get from the glittering spots is generated when you pick it up so you can reset until you get the item you want from it.

All you have to do is run around floor 2, items respawn based on number of steps, so run circles around the room checking all spots, even just farm exp by catching chansey and check spots in between encounters. I got 13 master balls in about 5 hours of doing this.

For people looking for fossils, you can get an Old Amber from a scientist on the right side of the building (behind the greeting desk thing) in the Pewter Museum of Science in Pewter City. You have to go behind a building and cut down a tree to get there. Bring it to the Cinnabar Lab in Cinnabar Island and you will get Aerodactyle for free. The guy at the lab doesn’t ask for it back :)

there is a list of items that you can get when you have caught a certain number of the same pokemon. for the best change of finding rare items you need to catch more then 8000 oddishes for example
