Farming Simulator 17 Courseplay Tutorial - Combine Self Unloading

I haven't used courseplay since the last farm sim, and I just loaded it again. Wow it's changed. They have done a great job on this. I've always set the tractor to meet the combine and this is interesting. Now I want to grow corn and root crops. btw, seasons mod is awesome.

I am going to set a combine course to harvest my two fields I have stared with and train my combine to go to my silo and unload... then I'll add all surrounding fields. then I will train my combine to do multiple fields tacked on in a row, harvesting field one, two and three etc in order without being reset. then i am going to have it poop grain all over the place.

This is old so I'm not sure if you will see this but when the trailer gets full can you move it or will it mess up the course?

After doing this, how would I get the tractor to drive to a silo or sell point and unload, and return to the same spot/same position for the harvester to self-unload again? I've tried setting a normal grain transport run beginning where the combine unloaded into the trailer the first time, making the round and then stopping just short of the start point, but the tractor won't pull up on it's own to the first marker to line up with the combine... I'm annoyed lol.

Could you please do a tutorial to show how to set the tractor-trailer to store grain when full? This would be to work along side the combine self-unloading mode.

you would use the grain trans port mode but just start the course where you wanted it to pick up the grain from

Do you have to make this course the Length of the field or just any length ? And or Wide as the field

I think in fs13 and fs15 you had to make it the same length as the field or it stopped at the length you made the course

Ian, How do you set it so when the trailer is full, the tipper will go and dump, then come back? I have been trying to figure that out? Would really appreciate the help.

When you save the course you just need to load the course and put it in the right mode and set him up to drive

I have problems when i want to take straw from the field to the farm.When my trailer is full it stops and refuse to go to the farm.So, i have to force it to do it.When it returns on the field it dos'nt start where it left of but at the start.It's driving me nuts.

Yes, i do. I tryed it on the Maverick map and i worked perfectly.When i tryed it on another field i got the same problem.Well, i keep trying.

Hi, Iain.I figured it out what i was doing wrong.Sometimes that button for fieldwork is already green, so it will not work.First you have to click the middle button, so the fieldwork button becomes white and then you click the fieldwork button again to make it green.Now it works perfect, so far.

What is the benefit of this instead of having the grain transport go to the harvester? Seems like a lot of lost harvest time.

It's more of a preference thing as far as I know

Some of the maps I played in FS 15 had fields with trees and ditches close to field edges. I used self unloading combine mode there because I got tired of unhanging the chase tractor from the trees and resetting the tractor to get it out of the ditches. Especially handy with the starting grind and those fields before you can afford an overloader trailer.

you can also leave the trailer in the field and have the tractor off doing other jobs while the combine is still able to unload. remember that the trailer has to be able to hold enough grain whilst the tractor is away.
