I downloaded the courseplay mod yesterday and I can express enough how great it is to have clear tutorials. The mod lets the player automate so much more of the farm but programming courses isn't very intuitive and takes allot of getting used to.

how do i see what tools are compatible without having to buy and try all of them. it sucks when i buy something from the shop and it don't work with Courseplay or a tractor just keeps turning in circles!

Great video, really helps with the basic understanding! I got one question though... I'm currently playing on a map (ballymoon castle) with oddly shaped fields with fences close to the fields itself, I'm succeeding in setting up the course but with my 34m sprayer, the driver will get stuck on the fences once I get the worker going... How do I work around this?

+Johan Paul you can set the worker to do headlands. You can set it on the field generate window

I tried using your tutorial in my game and followed every step. Then when I click drive route, it said wrong tool when I was using the cultivator you start the game with. What am I doing wrong and please help. Btw I’m on mac

You should do a tut on seeding with a seeder that also fertilizes. That threw me for a loop the first time...LOL

Each seeder is a bit different usually if one runs out of fertilizer or seed it just keeps going with only fert or seed.

Iain Robson What I was trying to say is that you have to use CP on Fertilizing mode instead of Field mode when there are both Fert and Seeds in the sower. At least that is what I have to do.

how do you make it, NOT, get stuck in the field edge? I bet it works on square fields, but not odd shapes. Im having complications.

When I m already in a game playing and I go to a sprayer (for now that tool vehicle to be the problem), I don't get the options at the bottom for the different courseplay modes (transport, combi, ...) When I jump in a combine, no problem, all the options are there. Back to the New Holland sprayer ... nothing. When I quit and restart the saved game and go into the sprayer, then I get the options but when I change to an other vehicle and come back to the sprayer, no more options :-/ Anyone else ?

Ah, i found it :-) When you have already used "Calculate Current Fields Edge Path" it stays selected. Just unselect that (by clicking on the little circle with line through it) and you get the options back :-)

Hm...that new turning system seems to eliminate the need for a headland in 99% of the cases. Curious to see how the driver can cope with the different implements.

You can change it so the driver makes the turn outside of the field.

There is a small problem with plows, the CP stopped turning the plow when turning the tractor.

Make sure you have the latest patch for FS 17. You will need at least v 1.3.1 It won't show up otherwise

Could you make a tutorial on how to instal coursplay. I have seen your instrucions from 1 to 10 but it doesn`t work for me and also for other people. The mod doesn`t show up when I start up my save game. But still gread content man.

agreed, I keep seeing log error "Load mod: ZZZ_courseplay Error: Unsupported mod description version in mod ZZZ_courseplay" I've looked thru the xml and don't 'see' anything wrong, but....

you will have to find the folder that it is in within the zip and then re-zip it and then place the re-zip in your mod folder....not the easiest, but that is what I have heard.
