So sorry to read of all of the people having issues with hauling this patch. I've been quite lucky by the sounds of it! All of this has been captured in live, not PTU, and I've been flying out of MicroTech.

Hello. Actually all stations above all big cities have these issues. So you can avoid this bug (empty cargo for missions) by selecting a different starting point for the missions than these stations. Before a patch fixes this.

yeah it's a complete mess right now. It was working fine for me in PTU and in the first 24 hours or so of Live but then it all fell apart pretty much completely. I've just stepped completely away from hauling missions for now even though I enjoy them.

I agree. Unfortunately, this is a sad trend not only here but elsewhere. For example, on internet news sites. I read an article a few days ago that said "Hogwart's Legacy players disappointed". In the article, the first sentence was about a major update coming for Hogwart's Legacy, and the rest was about a completely different Harry Potter game, that its servers were closing down and players were disappointed.

​@obaniehia normally I would agree but he forgot several key factors here. 1. RMC is busted and will lose you money if you try cargo running it from dunboro or rapple. 2. Places like the orphanage that originally sold SLAM no longer work because they don't have fright elevators so you CANNOT run illegal commodities like you cold before. 3. freight elevators are commonly stuck in an infinite "transferring to/from warehouse" loop so if you go to run gold from say shubin mining facility SM0-18 or beryl from shubin mining facility SM0-22 you will often find the elevators stuck with normally one of them working if you are lucky. If you see several ships abandoned there, we'll thats likely because they didn't work and the owners server hopped to find one's that do. 4. He kinda mentioned it but in a poor way. The only places that offer auto loading are places that have hangers. So those shubin facilities will not have it, but a station or city thats offers to sell cargo WILL. thats really all there was that got missed, but these are still issues that should have been addressed. I get that this creator makes alot of SC content and likely doesn't want to badmouth some of the things with the game, but when there are blatant issues they really do need to be addressed. Also they didn't show what the freight elevators look like say at dunboro, or at a shubin mining facility. So how would new people know where to go or how to manage to extract their cargo? Could have made a slightly longer video to go just a little bit more in depth, but overall the video was still informative enough to get new players rolling i guess.

I don't care too much about throwing boxes, so Cargo Trade is what I mainly focus on. Because of the auto-load cost, some items aren't worth moving any longer (like scrap from A18 to Pyro) so making a Heph run is now empty one way. The profit with using auto-load is now little under $233K aUEC. The Load/Unload penalty is 10minutes between the two. Overall about 25K less than 3.23 trade profit, but acceptable. NOTE: The cost of auto-loading is constant regardless of the type of cargo. So you can plan your possible trade runs around that info.

Currently many people in asia server said that hauler starter mission has a bug that tatget cargo didn't appear in the warehouse when using the elevator terminal to pull out. But personal trades using elevator are working well.

The table was very helpful for me. The huge amount of ships are very hard to compare at the RSI website... or other sites, which also only enlist them or provide single sites for one ship, so you have to open a dozend tabs and scrolling/searching.

Great video @Farrister! Thank you for sharing both perspective and tools. I started just a few days ago and I'm really liking Hauling so far! I highly recommend the C1 Spirit🚀, as you can solo fly it and with some finagling with the tractor beam you can fit around 110-120 SCU(!), making it one of the cheapest profit/rent-price and makes early hauling a dream! :D (Current rent price is 90k-92k 1/Day and around 460k for 7 days.) So far I've focused on medium hauling contracts for REP. Example: If you're a solo junior hauler, it's about 14-16 medium contracts to get to member and about 40-60 small. After that you'll get the 50K+ Member missions. For 50k+ missions you'll need to start coordinating your load a bit for multiple drop of points, this is a good time to bring a friend along for split hauling missions, possible with two Haul A, at this time for rent/profit. (Note; I've yet to try Hull A but 2 of these should be more than enough for around 150-250k/hr. and the rent price is around 60k/Day.) Take care out there!🧑‍🚀

With the problems 3.24 is having, and the intense hotfixing going on to resolve issues not everything is running smoothly for Cargo Running OR for Cargo Hauling. So temper your expectations and take your time to figure stuff out.

This way have at the very least one ship that we can use. They will get Cargo, and hangers working….1 week prior to the next major content patch. Well at least it will work for that week.

If only the beginner Hauling contract wasn’t broken on release. I haven’t found a single person that has actually gotten the 8 SCU of Titanium to actually spawn as part of that initial mission.

You now found an additional one. At first it wasnt there (i think) and after frantically running around every console of the Station and returning to the Hangar (ship still there, not put into storage) it was magically in my warehouse. I also had a friend that took the same Mission while i was searching the consoles and his cargo also wasnt there at the Start (in my Hangar). Once my cargo appeared, his was also there and he could use the 2nd cargo lift in *my* Hangar and we dual loaded my taurus. Fair warning, the boxes are ID-tied to the Mission, you have to keep Frack of what box needs to go to what mission / Person if you dual load like we did.

Cutlass black (and probably other variants) has a tractor beam in the cargo bay, just sit in the copilots seat and enter the remote turret. It’s not like you’re ever moving much, but it’s cool as fuck and immersive.

we've doing salvage and came to the idea "wait you can tractor the panels?" so began to move the panels in and out of view of a stationary reclaimer, then i tried to load the panels up in a herc... but nope those things are massive. do maybe once we get some larger ships like the ironclad, liberator, or kraken we might be able to drop the panels into pads or cargo bay and do it that way. but who knows. also pirates going hard on cargo ships now

Ive been rolling with my Taurus, not had a ton of trouble. The biggest issue ive been having (since they fixed hauling missions) is i cant sell my cargo at TDD's. Warehouse stuff doesnt even register and just an error message while its on the ship. But ive been runnin the crap out of the missions since the mission fix. That tractor beam is awesome to have on the Taurus

Thats another thing thats great about the Taurus, little to no chance of unknown boarding, especially using the ship tractor beam. Interdiction is laughable in the wake of a Taurus.

12:05 - Yeah, as far as the Caterpillar is concerned, that 3.22 grid is obsolete now. You can't fit three 16 SCU boxes in the front cargo hold anymore, and 24 SCU boxes on top don't snap to ones at the bottom, _if_ you're even able to squeeze them in - there seems to be some sort of an invisible obstacle there now.

Personally I love the new cargo changes. It’s more realistic to have to load/unload it yourself instead of it magically appearing in your ship. It feels more intuitive & immersive. Im not loading my c2 since it’s too risky solo but I loaded up the corsair. Traveled to sell my cargo > Was prompted to unload the cargo > Manually unloaded > clicked on confirm sell all > Never received the money 😂

Cargo is broken on all servers atm, but the new racing Sabre works….So I guess I’ll race in 3.24. Can I trade all changes CIG had made since 3.17? I would definitely “melt” 3.24 for 3.17.1. I would add some cash with it as well. I don’t even care if I have to lose the F8 and all the ships they have released since then.

Managed to load boxers to freight elevator and then went to tdd but culdnt sell, just terminal saying i need to move the cargo to the warehouse/freight elevator 😂 tried raising the elevator back, seeing we had cargo boxes still on it for some reason not sure what im missing

I got it lucky on the first day to try out the hauling before it broke, kinda enjoying but apart from cargo not spawning, I think the rep is going too slow and for other mission type as well. I grinded from morning to the evening and that only got me to Junior And the extra small 1 scu is really tedious to work with….

I feel the "RAFT" should be used primarily for moving cargo to and from Hull ships to station cargo centers? I've suggested ("Game Ideas") that the ARGO RAFT looks capable of moving, not just three, but six 32 scu containers, but only in space (too heavy to land). ;-) Imagine several RAFTs moving containers from their grapplers (tractor beams), onto a Hull ship's cargo grid, while other RAFTs are removing containers, placing them onto their grapplers and heading to a station's cargo center or another cargo ship?

I really would advise to steer clear of manual loading where possible for now, because in the armastice zones people can get in your ship, but you can't defend your ship due to the armastice zone, and they can also use a tractor beam to steal your boxes from both your ship and the ones still sitting in the cargo elevator. Even if you keep an eye out and for example stop loading, there's nothing stopping them from just getting in the pilot seat anyway and just griefing your ship with the loot by crashing it into the ground. As we still don't have police on all locations (nor are they useful anyway), or for example fingerprint ID's limiting access to the pilot seat functions, it's basically open hunting season on any hauling ships doing manual loading at this time. I'm glad they finally added hauling missions, I bought back my raft which has the benefit that I can keep it closed (so people can't fly it away) and attached boxes (like the hull-a for example), but that still leave the problem of people stealing your boxes (especially if they're with more players) from either your ship or elevator.

Installed 3.24 was excited Went to smo22 to buy some beryl in 32 scu boxes went to try to load them up and cargo elevator broken so i uninstall again maybe ill try next patch

hauling is f****ed for me, my cargo never spawn in the inventory and I have old cargo box from failed missions

This is cool and all but uhhh… I vowed to not play again until they fixed the cargo duplication for RMC making salvaging and selling impossible. Am I good to hop back in the ole scrap machine and make some money again after this update?

I'm not sure, I kinda stay away from the duping, and my first couple of days were spent on cargo. I'll report back with a salvage video in the next couple of weeks o7

My in-game C2 and M2 were wiped when patch 3.24 dropped, and my Carrack is a hangar queen as CIG have not fixed the cargo modules

No, but I do recolour some of the footage in Adobe (usually just the cinematic shots, and leave the first person shots as is)

Hello - did I miss the part where you explain HOW TO GET YOUR STUFF OUT OF YOUR MAIN BASE? I can’t seem to figure out how to load my current inventory into my ship. I can only get individual items to show up on the elevator. Ugh! Thank you in advance if you can show me the timestamp in this video where this is explained.
