I'm 40 years old, when I was in highschool, in my class, no one but me listened to Thrash Metal. It was the era of alternative rock and Nu-Metal. Once the dude who sat behind me was curious about Thrash Metal, and asked me if he could borrow one of my CD's. I chose Master of Puppets, it seemed the more acessible and easy-listen for an "outsider." Next day, dude brought the CD back and said: "Man... this sounds so... old. Like it was recorded in a garage, with bad instruments. Don't like it." LOL. Would have never imagined that classic Thrash Metal would become so popular again, thanks to the internet.
