Great playing! The FAS is coming along nicely - very close to the OG.

Great idea! Nice demo, Wan! Thanks! On HD KZbin, the FAS sounds a little stifled and thumpier than the SLO, except on the OD chan where the FAS sounds brighter compared to the SLO. Different resonance frequencies? Tone stack values? I dunno, just what I'm hearing on my Kali LP-6, hoping it helps...
@ceriatoneAmp8 ай бұрын
The values are pretty much same as is, except some minor differences. There are differences in tubes, transformers, and also filter capacitor (brands). Ours is also new, while the SLO is at least 20 years old I think. I will be tweaking more, and burn in the FAS more as well.

@@ceriatoneAmp Right on!! Thank you for doing what you do for us! I know from trying different power tubes, that they alone could account for the differences I'm hearing...

If Nik is still fine tuning it , I hope he will consider feature for tighter , faster low end response and less low mids around 400hz to 500hz . Long live Ceriatone

we need a 30 combo version .... I'm waiting for this to be released, serious buyer.

That's what I came here to say! Lunchbox version would be cool.

Same! Need something like a smaller cabinet ~20 to ~50 watt version. Also ready to buy. Only one of my speaker cabs can handle 100 watts and I don’t think Emi CRexes are the best match for this amp, ha.

dang that sounds awesome, that thing can do it all

Ready to order one of these once they’re fully dialed in and released! Any chance smaller/lower wattage versions will be offered? I’d gladly pay the same for a lower wattage version, it’s more about the physical head size and speaker/cab comparability for me.

On my system there is too much treble and not enough midrange GIRTH on the FAS 100 PROTO. The soldano still sounds more full more lows, more mids, less ICE PICK highs. Do with that what you will. When you are ready send me a production unit and Ill give it the FULL REAL WORLD TEST! CHEERS! \m/

Yes, we're having a new OT type wound, to be a bit closer to the original.

Question for Ceriatone: because the SLO100 is so similar to Dual Rectifier circuitry, would it be possible to clone a Rev. F Mesa Rectifier? If you do I'll purchase one. 👍
@bobbyong37298 ай бұрын
i ask for a 5150 - you said to wait for a SL0, and that was like 10 years back. now it's coming and my hair is grey. i definitely will get the CERIATONE -SLO

nice smoother top end and high mids. lots of potential. note separation also as expected :) I hope Nik can do 50 watts version with FX LOOP . #BUYLOCAL

There are some tweaks I am thinking. Some parts like the knobs will take some time as well.

No offense, but I’m amazed how companies can almost copy these amps and everything seems to be okay. I do agree that Ceriatone makes great stuff. 🤘🏼
@ceriatoneAmp8 ай бұрын
Well, if talking about clones of this model specifically, we're about 12-13 years late into the game, not accounting for models renamed to other names totally not discernible in regards to origin, nor big name amps with circuits eerily close to (at least for the OD channels). We have changed it a bit, even as is, for the circuit, but we still say where it comes from. No offense taken, and thanks for the kind words!

the warren haynes mod is just a bright switch for the OD channel. There's also the SRV mod which we might add as an option
@alexandertorrente1988 ай бұрын
will you release a PCB version of this? can't wait to see the final result!
@ceriatoneAmp8 ай бұрын
It probably does not make a difference, price wise, turrets or PCB.
@alexandertorrente1988 ай бұрын
I mainly bring up the idea of PCB for a few reasons: -they are easier to make, I love handwired stuff, but man can they be a hard to make. -a little bit more durable than hardwired -less noisy if done correctly. -could be safer, in the case of newer folks -I believe this one was originally on PCB.
@ceriatoneAmp8 ай бұрын
@@alexandertorrente198 I dont see how it's more reliable or less noisy than turret boards, though? Sure, PCB can be made to be as good, but the issue is rework part. Sloppy enough, and the pads can get damaged, or lifted. For newbie builds, or for learning, turrets or eyelets would be better if you're going to redo the soldering (mistakes, or experiments) many times, I think. You need to also think in terms of ease of doing mods. With turrets, you/I can easily add, change, rearrange etc, not so so with PCB. Well, these are just opinions and preferences, of course.
