I'd rather go for the Octavia 1.8 TSI as it gets a superior independent rear suspension and 40 extra horses under the hood. Plus I've heard that the 1.8l motor will be discontinued next year when the 4th Gen Octavia will be launched so this year is the last year the 1.8 is being offered on the Octavia, this engine has already been discontinued on Audi and Volkswagen cars.

My plans for purchasing "The Beast" HEXA dropped at the last minute of making the payment as it's BSIV and majorly due to the news that BSIV diesel cars will be barred from usage in India 10 years from now. Q1. What will happen to the BSIV diesel cars purchased a few months back when the news of BSVI was not around? Q2. Will the owners of BSIV diesel cars just scarp them after 10 years? Note - I need a car for 7 and Safety is my only reason to forget other cars and go for Tata. Also, irate that Buzzard (Cassini) with BSVI will be launched only around Jan'2020. Commenters -For those who will comment that XUV or Innova or Marazzo is better than HEXA, sorry guys, I have test driven all these cars (also few of my friends' cars) and my choice will stick with HEXA. Sadly, I am not able to purchase it now due to this new BSVI rule.
