Trends now days are just means of getting likes and gain social media presence. If you’re into fashion or like clothes, just wear what you like, when you like it. Don’t worry if you’re on trend or off trend. At the end of the day, this isn’t mean girls and no one is going to scold you for wearing last seasons Nike or stussy drop.

I agree. I love punk and I dress punk. No, I don't wear spiked bands and ripped t shirts everyday because that's not the only brand of punk out there. But I'm not into micro-labels when it comes to fashion in a broader scale; why? Well because "Fairy Core, Angel Core and Ballet Core all stem from one particular point of reference: Contemporary Feminine. When someone says they dress "Rainbow core, or Romance Core" It's all just contemporary feminine, and that was just 1 example of the way style can be dissected

I wear the same pair of raw denim with a plain Uniqlo tee (black or white) As for shoes, a hefty durable pair of whites rambler boots… my everyday outfit ages and is simple. No hassle, no spending, or even a single care about “fashion trends”… I work literally everyday and enjoy my job & earning money. Constantly spending 100$+ on some new clothes so often is crazy to me esp in these times. Quality over quantity. Oh yeah… anything will look 100xs better on you if you’re healthy and fit ! Note: always keep a nice pair of grey 991s or air max (95neons, 97 silverbullets) etc…. On deck for when I wanna wear sneakers casually

It’s even crazier with women’s fashion, but also feel like I’ve seen every single thing come and go already, being only 34. I feel like if you take the current trends as simply options you could incorporate or not is the best approach. Easier said that done , I think the most exhausting thing can be having a piece you genuinely like that gets played out…we’re just seeing so much more constantly. I was very into the whole hypebeast scene a few years ago and only wore supreme (horrible choice) more recently I’ve slowed down on buying shoes and clothes. I sold most of my Yeezys and Jordan’s and I ended up getting 3 shoes to use as a daily rotation. Drakes Hot Step Air Terra - Stussy Airmax - and Tom Sachs GPS. I’ve been wearing more sweat pants not for the sake of “fasion” but for the sense of the comfort. I work construction and I’m outside most of the day so I’m genuinely wearing carrhart & arcteryx for the sake of keeping warm and staying dry. To be honest anything now a days is considered a “micro trend”. In real life your aesthetic doesn’t matter that only matters to social media, I consider people who wear carhartt & sit inside all day on their computers a poser. And keep in mind that micro trends are only on the internet not necessarily in real life. Essentially just because you see people wearing things are are considered “micro trends” doesn’t mean their outfits isn’t “clean” or nice.

A LOT of these trends seem to be calling out to older decades (late 90s/early 2000s to be exact) so one solution to fit into trends without supporting fast fashion companies is just thrifting for clothes.
