Fashion designer explains why she removed her hijab | ITV News

Haifa Shamsan, from Cardiff, made a choice in May 2018 to remove her hijab - a veil worn by some Muslim women - after wearing it since she was 10 years old.
The mother-of-two and fashion designer told ITV News she felt like she wasn't wearing it for 'the right reasons'. Despite a backlash from some in her community, Haifa said the experience has made her 'more resilient.'
