I definitely agree about the lack of filter options, considering past games had all kinds of filter options (by style, brand, color, type...etc.), that's weird they didn't think of or include that. Also, clothes have a rarity type but you can't check the rarity unless the clothing pattern is available in the clothing creator section. Another thing, when you're putting outfits together and muses ask for certain colors or styles, the clothing items don't have the attributes listed, just the name of the item and if it's for A or B type, which is kind of strange, because a character may want something green but you may pick some socks that LOOK like it has green detail but it may actully be slate blue or something. The game is definitely fun and it's definitely cozy but I feel they dropped the ball when it comes to actual outfit creation focus and wanted the whole social media aspect to be it's selling point, (funny, because I'm not into social media AT ALL).

I was pretty disappointed when I made a second muse and found it shares the same showroom with the first. I was hoping we could have 4 distinct brands with a different brand representative and showroom for each. I'd really like to see this addressed in an update because I don't really get the point of having more than 2 muses (one type A, one type B) otherwise.

There definitely needs to be a lot of updates to make this game more enjoyable. It is currently very repetitive and not in a good way. It took me 4/5 hours to unlock all cocoons and my follower count it currently 50k. It is not difficult to earn all of this and I'm not sure how to feel about that. I feel as though I'm zooming through in the blink of an eye with no real reward. It feels very grindy and there isn't much incentive to reach 100k as you're just doing the same thing. There definitely needs to be filters to separate the different types of clothing and I wish we had different patterns that we could use to create more unique clothing. As I am currently finding quite a few clothes from brands that look exactly the same and it's only been 2 days since launch. I also hope they remove the gendered clothing. I believe that there are plans to add more features. I would personally love to see a catwalk for players to show off their fashion in a competition. The top 3 could win e points and rare patters along with followers. More unique body types so that people can create unique muses. A Social cafe to make friends and take pictures. Apartments that can be acquired in your favourite cocoon. You could personalise it like how you personalise your show room. An abilty to leave a message like in splatoon. There should also be an ability to leave a description about your brand. On your profile. More hair textures. I was pleasantly surprised to find braids and afros but I think there could be more. I don't see myself playing this game frequently. I might check up on it every once it a while but that's it. I pre-ordered this game amd I do regret it but it is what it is.

I'm not sure if they'll get rid of the gendered clothes. As male and female characters have different body shapes and it would probably require them to redo all the clothing to make it work. It's easier to do gender free clothes in games where characters have the same body type like animal crossing.
@buttarain27 Жыл бұрын
@canadaedwards1881 Agree, if it were a more fantasy/imaginary-driven game. But it's supposed to represent actual clothing and fashion in the real world, so the masculine and feminine body types are a reflection of that. No matter what a person identifies as, they will still either have a masculine or feminine body, which can be altered but of course that takes drastic measures.

@FE14CamillaSimp Жыл бұрын
Style Savvy actually has more grinding. FD lets you get to the fashion part immediately - dressing up people in full outfits, letting you customize/make items that you're missing in order to complete your outfit, etc... There's also no FOMO in clothes because you have unlimited storage and you don't have to grind for money. The game is most fun played online mode (still plays like single player - only difference is you need to be connected to wifi and instead of only dressing up NPCs, you get to dress up other people's avatars too and they can dress you up too - still plays a lot like single player mode).

I am really enjoying the game for what it is! I will say I am not the type of person to watch trailers or heavily research games before I get them so I did spend quite a bit of time wondering what the gameplay loop was until I realized it is literally just "like clothes, get clothes, style clothes, make clothes, play bingo." Which absolutely won't be everyone's cup of tea, but is honestly perfect for zoning out and getting some nice instant gratification. I do generally love sandbox games and loved the Style Savvy games so I think this is a very happy medium. That being said, the lack of filters is killing me. I keep making obviously pink outfits and not getting the color bonus for them because somehow the items aren't pink? If we get requests with parameters for color and style, there needs to be filters or at least somewhere to view the actual attributes of an item. I guess you could argue that not showing it means you really have to develop an eye for the different styles but that's pretty weak. The title of this video is spot on: it isn't for everyone, but I'm happy to live my Ariana 7 Rings fantasy 😂

I hate how lifeless the characters and the world looks. The idea of this game could have been so good! just change the setting to that of a cute brick town with you being a designer having people come in wanting a makeover, going to town to buy materials like fabric, patterns, shoes etc. throw even a bit of romance in and you got a game people want to play multiple times, but as it is I feel like it just a bit superficial.

Ive been playing this game non-stop, but thats cuz i love dress up games and can olay them for hours on end. So the gameplay is super addictive to me. I hope they addres to QoL features in future updates. Personally i'd like to be able to delete stuff from my inventory cuz i have some clothes that look identical. Im guessing the only reason thwre are gender restrictions in the clothing is due to the 3d modelling for the clothes, but i hope this is smtg they fix. Mainly cuz accesories arent locked behind gender restrictions and the language used between the two body types (instead of using gendered terms they just say type a anf tyle b). So i have some hope this is smtg they'll remedy. Esp cuz most ppl picking up this game will probs be ppl who love fashion and video games (like me). But its a fashion game and fashion is all abt self expression. So this would be ana amazing change.

Really excited for this game! I love the Style Savvy series and easily put 100+ hours into Trendsetters. I agree with some of the issues and simplicity. Fashion games are typically simplistic and only feature skinny female body types, not that I want the genre to be restricted to that. Hopefully updates add more body types and a story mode? I bet it'll also depend on how well the game sells and reviews. It's been 6 years since the developer, syn Sophia, developed the last Style Savvy game for 3DS (Styling Star) in 2017. Considering the Switch had been out for alresdy 8 months by that point, its not hard to see why it didnt sell as well. Fashion Dreamer seems to be a last attempt to gauge if the audience still exists and on a different platform. I wonder if its a different team working on this game as well? As it has been so long since the last one, I'm not surprised they're trying a different kind of feeling with the game being an virtual world as opposed to owning a physical brick n mortar store and having to walk to the mall and beauty salons. I prefer the more grounded feel of the older titles, but maybe this will catch on with a new generation and audience? I'm gonna buy this as soon as I have the spending money because I really hope the continue the franchise with new entries, improve QoL and add more features like body types and gender-neutral clothes. These were always an "guilty pleasure" and a grest experience to have growing up as a boy. Getting to play with different outfits, see what I might wear, and use as a reference for my artwork. Habing an outlet like this as a boy definitely helped me embrace and get comfortable with the idea of fashion and wearing what I like because it looks good and feels good! This series is close to my heart and I hope it keeps going. 💛🤍💜🖤

Well, I agree that this game would be more popular among the female audience, but I think a lot of younger men/teenage boys have more fashion interest than I ever did growing up. Shoes in particular I hear a lot about being a sought commodity, whereas I go for function and comfort. To this day I still am turned away from name brand clothes that plaster their brand on clothes more than a simple logo on a front pocket. I'm not a walking billboard giving them free advertising. :-P Anyway, a lot of farming sims have character creation and various outfits, so this kind of seems like taking that idea and building the game around that. I'm often one to make the character look halfway like me and then pick the default outfit though haha. And if I buy outfits, it's a completionist goal instead of intending to use them. But that's just my playstyle! I'm glad games like this exist to give people a much cheaper way to enjoy fashion, because we all know how expensive it could get to do it for yourself.

I would really like the game to have some mini-games, like Miku Hatsune, where the character dances and you press the buttons that appear, or you are on a runway and you have to choose the right poses, etc. I miss something that will keep you playing this game

I'm not trying to sound rude, but last time I checked this is a fashion, dress-up game not Super Mario party 🤣 plus I heard that the producers are doing an update to add new features such as new ways to play and clothes. One of the pictures for the new gameplay looked like a fashion show or a contest. Also, one more thought, isn't playing mini games technically doing the same thing over and over?🤔
@paoolinka8911 Жыл бұрын
@@Art-Slayer--L.023 somehow other fashion games have mini games or even a story mode that keeps players playing them. Maybe the mini games are repetitive, but when you get tired of changing outfits, you can play some mini games related to fashion etc. so you don't have to do one thing over and over again. I don't understand why you don't want the game to be varied and less boring by all the suggestions.
@Art-Slayer--L.023 Жыл бұрын
Of course I agree that the game needs more gameplay features, but my point is that the producers are adding new ways to play to make the game better. It's not like the game is a complete product, most game producers add new things with updates or dlcs.Think about Loz botw, animal crossing, or Mario kart. I don't understand why some people don't understand that.

i played for 20 hours already and i had Platinum around my 10th hour or so i kinda regret buying the game so soon, it definetely lacks updates and the gameplay is pretty repetitive maybe i'm spoiled by games like LoveNikki, but having only one way to use your collection - lookits - is very very lacking no way to compare to other people no way to see more other muses outside of ones assigned to your world (which keep repeating actually), lack of any sort of competition and need to use features like trends and stuff about the trends btw - you pretty much don't need to utilize them AT ALL like, really all they do is give you boost to your followers and likes, but you get them regardless, and ranks are very easily unlocked no matter what you do, as long as you keep on making lookits and taking ocasional photos and you will do that, because there is no other activities also, all things considered, the amont of unique types of clothes is a bit.. um... undewhelming? you would think that there is so much, but there are like few dozen of models that just get new texture or print and that counts as a brand new pattern if you pay attention, right now game has like.. two type A cropped jackets? (maybe three, but i haven't seen 'em) one is warm and one is leather :/ and that's far fron the only example look, i'm not agains't reusing assets, but saying that game has couple thousands of patterns when in reality it's just few hundred models reused again and again and again is misleading imo there also seem's to be a little deficit in styles? it's so easy to find elegant and cute tops but then i tried to make a punk character and found that there are just little to no options for that kind of style i hope new updates bring more divercity in that regard another thing, game does crearly has tags for different clothing, but we just can't see them i can't always know what the game consideres "cool" or "casual" - a lot of those things can be interpreted differently by different people, which leads to the moments when you are trying to make an outfit that you think fits the request, and the game just says "no, you're wrong actually" and you have no way of knowing what is right the same goes with colors, but here at least we have color palettes in creator menu that tell us what palette is considered what, right? WRONG. i have failed so many requests with vivid colors while using the palettes assigned to VIVID this just makes no freaking sense what does game consider neon btw? is it just the acid green or other bright colors also count? because i tryed bright teals and yellows and purples and pinks and nothing worked out exept for green and you don't even get a neon palette (or at least i haven't found it after two dozen hours of playing) i find it difficult to create outfits that include many parts you have an option to see how the piece looks on your character, but you cannot see it with other items unless you make them one by one and after each one go to your outfit and change them one by one and it's so frustrating when you make one item that alone looks good and perfect but when put in an outfit it's just not working or the colors are slightly off or whatever else but you already payed the points, and with more rare patterns they cost up to 160k, which will burn through your millions pretty fast if you keep on remaking the same pieces to get the rezult that you want so i would really like to see option to create whole outfits at once and, also, to see preview of the pattern you're about to by in 3d and not just on the eety-beety tiny icon in the menu QoL like that would go so far i promise ALL OF THAT SAID i still enjoyed the game, because i sit in that very very specific nieche of players that this game is made for please, if you managed to read all of this, be vary game is pretty pricy for how barebones it is right now if you wan't to play it, wait for big sale (black friday coming up soon f.e.) if you can wait, wait for new updates and see what comes out of it later in it's lifecycle it has the potential to be so much better than it is right now, but we don't know if it will manage to pull itself together i really hope it does having satisfying and beautiful dress up game with that much of freedom for creativity with no microtransactions and predatory features is dream come true really but we'll wait and see, i guess edit: spelligs and stuff p.s.: english isnot my first language so sorry if i made any mistakes

It's sad that there's not much to do and no excellent fashion. The fashion is on par with the DS/3DS games which is a joke considering how old those games and consoles are. I miss being able to run a boutique or have some other aspect to work towards. I would buy it and enjoy it for what it is but the price is WAY too much for what it is. If they were charging less I wouldn't be upset but there are free mobile dress up games with more content and detailed outfits for free.

I think the lack of a story or shop management is a plus. Those two could get dull in Style Savvy, especially Styling Star with its ridiculously long story, plethora of characters, and way too many items to manage in the shop. Only tending customers in your shop could also get stale after a while. Don't get me wrong, Styling Star is fantastic; but it is a bit too long for its own good and its mechanics can get boring due to most of them being tied to managing a shop.

I was so excited for this game to come out and im SO disappointed. Not even 10 hours in, I've reached platinum rank and Ive got the end credit pop up... I was like that's it ??! The gameplay loop is repetitive and boring, I find it hard to enjoy styling outfits for no reason. There is no goals, no story, no real challenge, no NPCs to befriends, you just walk endlessly in this dead world styling outfits. There is lots of features I wish they brought from previous games they made. You could easily filter clothes by categories (type of clothes, patterns, colors, brand etc) There used to be handbags, necklaces, bracelets, being able to do NPCS hair, makeup, nails. a lot more styles of clothes ( gyaru , punk, gothic, school girl, expensive looking..) designing clothes was more in dept. I had so much hope for this game and was planning on spending hundreds of hours on it, its sad because this game has so much potential it looks so beautiful, the clothes are really cute, online features are awesome, the pictures and poses are great but overall it lacks the charm of style savvy games where styling outfits made an actual impact. I will add you tho my name is Lola I really want to style an outfit for you :)

It's kinda weird that for a game that makes it so much about clothing that there's such limitations of things such as gender locking, singular accessory options like wrinkles and such. It feels like a dedicated fashion game should have easily the most fashion options freely

So, I played this game for like four hours the first day... I could not believe I got the platinum level and the credits start rolling?!?! This is a $10 game, not a $40 game. The requests are so repetitive, the music is repetitive, the maps have dead ends which are frustrating. When requests ask for rare and mega rare items, the numbers and stars don't corelate to actual rarity. They ask for mega rare shoes, but clothing items can go up to like a nine star rarity. The variety isn't as lavish as you'd think. Color spectrum is fine, different heights and skin color for characters is cool. Very little accessories, no real consequences. Online is not much different from solo, you end up running into the same online players. I don't know, it seems incomplete. No adventure and not really challenging. Got board after a few days where I'm used to enjoy a switch game for at least a month.

I still want to get this game but the fashion options look not very diverse to me. Some people are really into J-fashion, but it looks especially more cranked up here. I'm just thinking about the different genres of clothing from other Nintendo games like Style Savvy, where aesthetics like goth were truly goth and plentiful. Somehow even the modern take on some styles already look dated.
