Fashionably Late To The YouTube Wild Camping Gathering! ;)

Having arrived a good few hours after my companions to start the journey in, I decided to take the MTB bike and bike pack with my gear to make up some time! Only problem was I didn't know where they would be camping and there was no signal! However the pitch did have a private beach and stupendous mountain views!

Murray, just keep doing what you are doing, grumpy or not.i buy new kit and sell the old always thinking it will be better. It invariably doesn't change the trip. We love your journeys and chuntering. It's very human behavior 😊

Thanks Lyndsey, absolutely agree, some times you dont need all the gear to have an adventure , I used old Cat boots and normal clothing to go hiking for the first couple of years (although I never ventured out in the winter during the first few years!!1lol). Sometimes the kit is fine as is the camera gear !!lol I need to stop being influenced by their marketing departments that do such a good job :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray

Such a beautiful spot. Was there a few years back on a hot summers day, the river was low and the midges were biting. Saw a mad man cycling that track on a road bike who said he’d come via glen etive.. in hindsight I think it was a mirage..! Murray! I'm fashionable late in watching and replying lol. Don't mind sharing that my eyes welled with deep emotional tears during this, think that's the first time that's happened. Have come close before, but this time, boom. The ethereal mist on the loch (and how it looked like glass at times), that sunset, and then you setting up the time lapse camera and what it caught (shouldn't be peeved that you didn't have a big camera because OHMYGOSH), and then that sunrise that greeted you and all of us. Noticed you had some Balvenie, one of my faves, too funny that carrying it on your bike made the load a bit heavier! Great meeting Jim and Ray, I can't imagine you finding a more perfect place to unwind after a hard week at work. Thanks for getting winded on your bike so you could show us these views, hope you and the fam have a great weekend! 👋

Glen Dochart beyond the loch is a great low level hike, down to Loch Etive. Can then walk S. to get train back to Bridge of Orchy via Tyndrum. Then a few km along WHW back to car at Victoria Bridge.
