Its beautiful, very atmospheric clouds. Caught a few lovely sunrises up there particularly in winter. Our first ever serious winter camp was up there a number of years back, and a snowstorm erupted at 5am,back in the day wen we didn't have quality sleeping bags, certainly learnt a few lessons after that camp, but never put us off going back. Thanks for sharing.😀🙏😀

Hi Erin, I do love my wee caffeine shots in the morning!!lol Think I have been up here in nearly all conditions (not with the tent though). It really is an accessible peak for me and I can drive there in about 35-40mins , a nice wee leg stretch most of the time and no doubt I be back up here in a few months again :) Thanks for watching ATB Murray

Brilliant video Murray, Just got a question for you, thought you would be the best man to ask. I am looking to get a 4 season rated tent and sleeping bag. Just wondering what it is that you use, just looking for some ideas. Used a 3 season in winter before with some silk linings to add some heat and that has done the trick but looking to upgrade to that next step. Thanks again, Robbie.

Hi Robbie - I can also agree that the liner is a good idea - I use an old Rab Ascent 900 in the winter - it’s old and a bit bulky but really depends how much you want to spend - I would also suggest a good sleeping mat as being equally if not more important to keep you warm from the cold ground ! In terms of tents I can’t really comment as I don’t tend to (read never ) change from my Scarp1 - I tend to find something that works and stick with it 😂 I can say it is (the scarp1) a great tent and my latest version is from around 2017 and does the job just fine :) good luck and happy camping :) 👍👍 Thanks for watching Murray

Hi Keiren - it’s a wee stove (Lixida- from Amazon) and I use fire logs (weigh a ton but burn easily and fit in the stove so no burning on the ground :) - good luck and have fun on your trip 👍 Thanks for watching ATB Murray
