I'm from the Maldives and yellow fin tuna is our staple food. Only pole and line fishing is allowed in the Maldives to be more sustainable. And we do export tuna to Japane and to Sri Lanka. They love our salted dried tuna. 😋 The equatorial line is between Huvadhoo atoll and Seenu atoll which is Southern bunch of islands, a bit far from the atoll you guys stayed at. What a stunning place to stay - you both look so relaxed. Re the tuna Charlie - there are no bluefin tuna in the Indian Ocean. Therefore the "major tunas" are albacore, bigeye, skipjack and yellowfin - but like lots of areas it’s been overfished - so they are trying to save what they have

How wonderful. Going on holiday to a sunny location is just perfect right now. You get to a point where you just need to be in the sun, and recharge your batteries. The book you are reading sounds interesting. I have “The Secret” and am also very inspired by Louise Hay and do positive affirmations on a regular basis, but the good habits often begins when you are on holiday. I look forward to hearing more on the subject. Anyway, I felt so good watching your vlog. When the winter gets a bit too long I tend to watch video’s from beautiful sunny places. Appreciate you putting this up. Just in time. Prior to this I have been going back on your previous Maldives videos to glean more information. I am planning my 40th and did want to go to the Maldives. There are so many Islands and many hotels not quite my style I prefer more luxe boutique options however many seem quite private. Frankly many of the prices are ridiculous in my opinion. My birthday is in December, which means prices are even more crazy. I do like variety in food, although I am not sure my pallet is as pronounced as yours and Charlie's ;). Two restaurants sounds quite limited. However I will take your judgement onboard on less restaurants yet more variety of food. As you both made some great points, with this video. The Ruffles hotel looks even better than the pics. Having done my research on and off for a few years on where best to have my twin centre hols for this birthday, the Maldives has always been top of my list. I may have to change it to the Seychelles, Madagascar, Zanzibar, Bora Bora or Fiji as I think the first 3 anyway have more to do culturally. Glad you both finally got to somewhat chill for 10 days. Goodness me five years! I won't go on holiday for less than 10 days lol. I guess you both work for yourselves and are rather busy. Enjoy! Thanks again.

The symbols the butler wrote on the leaf are known to represent certain experiences. I believe the butler was subtly offering to bring you one of those experiences that night if required.
