Great question, and there are a few options you could do on that truck. The biggest thing would be figuring out if the truck has been CP3 swapped? Then we can send a link with the kit we'd suggest.

Had a FASS 165G titanium series on my 3rd gen for about 3 or 4 years now. I gotta tell you in the 150k I've put on the odo during that time, your product has never let me down. We've hauled our travel trailer through Montana, Wyoming, and Nebraska in negative temps. I've never been left unable to start. One of my closest friends has had an air dog for about the same amount of time. He's already warrantied his pump twice in 50k miles. He tells me that they stand behind their product, and make the warranty process a breeze... that is true. But what about spending that time climbing under the rig to take the old setup off? The down time while waiting on shipping? Doesn't it make more sense to purchase a clearly superior product and avoid the headache to begin with?

@@theaveragejoebody Sure thing, we offer two systems for those trucks. The deciding factor in which one to get will be where the factory lift pump is at on the truck. Before purchasing a system please verify if the lift pump is still mounted on the engine, or relocated back into the tank.

How are those gears in the pump lubricated?
@FASSFuelSystems11 ай бұрын
Great question and the g-rotor inside the FASS is lubricated by the fuel that passes through the system.
@AllAutos11 ай бұрын
@FASSFuelSystems what if you could apply a higher level of lubrication to it for the operational efficiency daily and then Run To Fail life? Yall must've tried/tested some? With your bench testing capabilities, specifically the Amp draw, it would be an excellent precise way to test. And by doing so, proving that "last mile" pursuance to operational performance, you extend the gap from the competition. Right? 👍

I do enjoy the head to head comparisons of the products. I currently have a 21 Ram 6.7, and you guys are the top two brands in the business. But, I do have a question about filters. As we all know the government is mandating bio diesel. I currently work at a refinery where it is a 5% maximum content. But there are talks of 10% & 15% in the future, this bio has alot of components in it, it's more than just soybeans. While I don't see much of a change in viscosity when we test it. I didn't how your filters would react when trying to filter it, and how fast they will become clogged, and how does the customer know when they are clogged, a differential pressure gauge?
@FASSFuelSystems2 жыл бұрын
Hey Chad, thanks for reaching out! Our apologies for the delayed reply. Regarding biodiesel in our fuel filters, we will have to speak with our engineering team to confirm any data we might have to share. That said, we hope to publish a video on the topic soon, as it's obviously going to be more prevalent in the future. Regarding filter changes, a fuel pressure gauge is absolutely the most effective means of monitoring filter "health". That said, the vast majority of our customers run the standard 20,000-30,000 mile service interval without any observable fuel flow restriction.

I've been watching some install videos why can't you reuse the same return line back to the tank rather then cutting the fill hose and using that return line and the placement of the filters are right inline with the tires where mud snow dirt is dumped right on them and if you have a tire come on corked it probably will rip it off ,I'm looking to buy one but these are issues I'm concerned about

The factory return line is returning fuel from the high pressure pump on the motor. The returning fuel has enough pressure to damage things if you tamper with it. The lift pump has a completely separate return line of its own.

FASS Platinum signature Lifted my mpg from 9 to 17 miles per gallon on a second generation. They matched it to a new generation Bosch VP 44 check the PSI amperage voltage dialectic truck drives better than new and it’s a 23 year old truck. FASS is my opinion the greatest thing that ever hit my truck I should say the greatest thing that ever was put on my truck and I’m not a paid spokesman I’m an actual customer that uses the truck for work every day. Thank you FASS. For replacing the stock lift pump which was horrendous with the new FASS platinum signature pump with water separator and filter. When we get single digit cold weather I make sure I plug-in the black heater and when I’m ready to warm the truck up I set up a heater system and surround the area with cardboard boxes and 25 minutes Truck starts right up it melts the wax In the fuel filter and a diesel mechanic recommended I do that and it’s been working every day no jelly. No jelly. Are use house HOWES 6 ounces And I never let it go below 3/4 of a tank. Try to keep ahead of the curve
