Love that new balance spike! Was literally a game changer when I was racing almost every weekend here in the NCAA! No more stereotypical “spike calves” the day after!

A win should always be treasured. PR time for a track 10k is tricky - you need good weather and a group to run with that is going at a pace that's challenging but not too fast. That combo isn't easily achieved. When my roommate in college ran his first 10k at Mt. SAC Relays (28:57), he said the lead group just sucked him along like a vacuum cleaner! I ran 30:43 in the same race, but far more solo (other than being lapped!)
@BenIsRunning Жыл бұрын
Yeah I totally agree. I think i could've held a more consistent fast pace if id had 5 or 6 guys ahead of me to lach onto :)

Hey Ben. I have been a passionate runner earlier but a bone fracture in my right hip have sat me down so now I walk instead and I have accepted this now but seeing and experienced these runners here on this channel get me sort of feeling that all Your runs are so controlled and structured and think of my own way to run when I was a runner and I was more impulsive and used running as my suplies to my medicine as an autist which I have had since I was born. Is it fun to be so controlled and never really relaxe and maybe run a bit slower and see the surroundings where you run ? Do you think that I just was not serious in my little way of using running as You and plenty of runners in these parralleluniverse ? Inga.

Great win. Well done! Not fun having someone running behind you for such a long distance.

Would have liked a few words on why the 3:05/K plan was set aside? Was it that with the other runner right on your tail, you felt you needed to save up energy for a kick?
@BenIsRunning Жыл бұрын
yes decided to slow things down to save some for the final few laps if needed :)

Do runners in the UK run with traffic? Seems like Ben and others typically do. Weird. Right hand or left hand driving shouldn’t matter but maybe it does?
