I am making a full sized blanket using this stitch. I am using Chunky yarn, and using alternating rows of single and double crochet. The texture this creates is wonderful! Thanks for the tutorial!

Not only is this stitch beautiful but, as you mentioned, it is an easy stitch to do. It just takes focus to do the last stitch properly. TFS

I'm waiting to make a king size blanket with this stitch and I'm somewhat new how can I figure out how much yarn I will need
@CrochetForBaby6 жыл бұрын
Just make a long chain that ends in 1,3,5,7 or 9 and lay it over your bed. If you want it to drape over your bed then make it longer if you don’t then just make it however long you want. If you have a comforter that you like the length, then just make it that same size. I think it’s a beautiful stitch for what you want to make and you can use any yarn too. Good luck and thanks for watching 😉
@LyndaThomasflymefree546 жыл бұрын
Wouldn't the sides be straighter if you went in the top of the chain 2 instead of the chain 2 Space? Especially if you wanted to put a border on a blanket? I think yes.
@CrochetForBaby6 жыл бұрын
I think yes too 👍

Can u do a blanket with this stitch???
@CrochetForBaby6 жыл бұрын
Yes you can. Just use a thicker yarn with the recommended hook size.

Is this stitch supposed to be made using "yarn under" rather than "yarn over"?
@CrochetForBaby3 жыл бұрын
This is how I used to crochet lol so try which ever way you yarn over or yarn under and the stitch will come out the same 😉
@ellafaith87606 жыл бұрын
Did you ever done a tutorial on the single crochet variation of this stitch? I prefer the look of that over the original and want to crochet it. Do I add in the single crochet row on every other stitch or every third stitch? :)

Please excuse the typos. I am typing this from my phone

where do i go wrong when i have done mine it seems to want to curl up
@CrochetForBaby7 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry but I’m not sure why. Maybe your stitches are too tight. Try to relax your stitches a little. Maybe that can help.

petit means little, not green, it's little peas or petite peas
