love it could you tell me more about the tape with the measurements on your machine?
@sisterchicksquilting2 жыл бұрын
It’s called quarter inch tape from Cluck Cluck Sew. It’s Washington take so it sticks and can be reapplied with no sticky residue. About every quilt shop stocks it and you can find it on Amazon too. Again, thanks for watching my channel😊‼️

I have preshrunk fabric that I am using for these cozies. How will the cotton batting react with preshrunk fabric?
@sisterchicksquiltingАй бұрын
I guess OK, I just washed some and they come out a little messy. I just press them. I’ve washed them many times, we apparently spill a lot of soup 🍜 TFW😊♥️🐥

I’m sorry Trying to understand what you said about the “dart” and lining up with “diagonal tape. Could you explain please ? And thank you for the easy directions
@sisterchicksquilting Жыл бұрын
I use the diagonal seam tape (1/4") on my sewing machine. So the sewing line on my dart would be straight, I lined up the bottom of the dart with the center line (which lines up withmy needle) at the bottom. Sometimes when I sew a diagonal line with out a reference , the line will be ccooked and not end up from point to point. You could achieve the same result by drawing a line from the top of the dart to th bottom. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching my channel!!

I see others who make these sew diagonal lines through each set of fabric and batting. Have you ever done that?
@sisterchicksquilting10 ай бұрын
I have done that, it helps keep them together, however very with or without the stitching bf lines they all go a bit wonky when they’re washed. I just stretch an bd iron then out after each washing. Thanks for watching 😊❤️🐥

Does it have to be 100% qiulting cotton, or can I use 100% flannel as well?

@@melmarmcn777 I would think so if you put in enough layers. The cotton is because it goes in the microwave. TFW😊♥️🐥
