Never heard of these kinds of sweet potatoes. Fascinating!
@LivingLambsVeganKitchen4 жыл бұрын
Oh, MJ, they are wonderful! They are denser and richer than the orange ones and have a different kind of sweetness -- a bready sweetness, if that makes sense. Thanks so much for watching! Praise God through Christ Jesus for such an easy way to share with one another!!

@@Phyto_Chemicals Oh, yes, excellent comparison. Oh, I love roasted chestnuts and haven't had them in ages! Thanks for the reminder. This is the time of year for them!!

@@Phyto_Chemicals Yes! I used to be a baker, and my favorite cake with a chestnut cake. The chestnuts were simmered and milk and then Blended and strained for the recipe, which used the chestnut milk. It was incredibly delicious! ❤

Amazing. Today I baked 3 Japanese sweet potatoes in my toaster oven... whole full heat, and full timer. They are so good. I had to eat one as soon as it was cool enough. Thanks for the toast idea.

I’m enjoying one of these potatoes as I watch this video. I cut them the into bigger pieces but basically the same, and I air fry them for 20 minutes.. and they’re fantastic.. I agree they’re like cake, so sweet and delicious

Annette, at what temp did you air fry for 20 minutes?

Thank you! I haven't done this in a while. I put my potatoes in the microwave for a bit (just like for squash before cutting it or peeling it). it is so much easier to cut that way.I am always happy to see your videos. I love, simple, easy recipes.

Hi. Just found your channel and would like to know what water purifying system you use as well as where you got the glass jugs for the water. Thanks so much.
@LivingLambsVeganKitchen4 жыл бұрын
Hi, there, CK! The distiller is a Megahome distiller. It works well, but I've had to replace gaskets more than once and recently the motor went out (after a couple years, though), so I'm not using it at the moment. The jugs are must 1/2 gallon mason/ball jars -- I got them from Amazon. I love them! Right now, since I'm not using the distiller, I let them sit full, uncovered, for about 12 hours, so the chlorine can evaporate from the water. Thanks so much for watching! Let me know if you have any other questions! Praise God through Christ Jesus for such easy ways to share with one another!

How many minutes for us with regular toaster ovens?
@LivingLambsVeganKitchen4 жыл бұрын
Hi, SJR! I would think it would be the same. Just toast once on dark and once on medium, then take them out of the toaster over and let them site a few minutes (3-5). If you let them sit in the toaster oven, they can get overdone in the excess heat. You might find, though, after making them a couple of times -- depending on how you cut them and how hot your toaster oven is -- that you like them twice on dark, or once on dark and once on light, or something like that. Please let me know if you have anymore questions! Praise God through Christ Jesus for such easy ways to share with one another!
