A tip for those who don't have the DLC or Nookazon, and you're okay with time traveling is finding a day you have Redd on your island. While it may cost a bit more, he always has two items for sale that are typically new from the update. Simply buy them, TT to the next day, save and quit, and TT backwards. It'll always refresh with new art and items :3 Of course you can also TT every day until the following week and then TT to your real time, rinse and repeat (that also refreshes every single day with new items and NPCs).

its probably best to have the DLC because at least when you're inside Lottie's office there is like 5 new items everyday when you play, because it makes it a lot easier to get them. Also if you have additional users they share the DLC so you can use them to get multiple different new items everytime which makes it a lot more easier.

Also, there are always free treasure islands streaming on twitch with the new 2.0 items and clothes, but it’s really a struggle to get into the free ones because there are like 300 people wanting to join all at the same time, but once you get on an island , I promise it’s worth it

the fastest way i've gotten most of the 2.0 items is through a catalog event for 2.0 items! you do need nintendo online, but entry into some catalog islands that i've seen have been free or tip what you can. just visiting one island can get you most of the items depending on how much stuff the island has :)

Make sure to not have more than 10 items in your recycling box otherwise you won’t get any of the sloppy furniture

I don't recommend Nookazon people overcharge for these new items all the time, especially the new villagers. Plus sellers take way too long to respond because they have a bad habit of not changing their status.

It's an unfortunate truth. However, it tends to be more so with sellers in the Americas. I've seen outstanding and reasonable prices with sellers that aren't in the aforementioned. It's honestly a game of gamble with times and sellers, so imo you're better off just TTing or buying the DLC.

Yea, I personally recommend online communities where you trade. They're often super kind and are in the state of 'paying it forward' since often they ask for something really equivalent in price, or straight up give it for free because they want to pay it forward when someone gave them things.

Also if you have friends that play, you can have a “catalog party.” My friends and I do that where we bring new items to each other get a space on an island and pick up/drop so everyone can catalog and order… makes searching so much easier..

You missed the recycling bin. You get the Sloopy set and is the ONLY way to get it. Also TALK TO VILLAGERS !!! Both in HHP and on your island. You get rugs/wallings from HHP villagers. Check your mail as well, sometimes your villagers do give you really good items.

There are new wallpapers/flooring in the closet at Nooks so you have to check this too. You have to clean up your recycle bin in Townhall. If you stay under 10 pieces you'll get a furniture set from AC New Leaf, don't know the English name for it. It's the messy or something like that set. If you want to get gifts from Katrina you have to go every day.

I found a garden island yesterday. Garden wagon is an old DIY. The mostly likely way to get it is to creat another player in your game,play with that player and you will get old diy from beach bottles, villagers.

spoiler DLC alert ahead!! please don't read if you haven't completed 27-30 homes! --------------------- I think that some items like the paradise planning exclusive items won't show up on your main island. so if you haven't unlocked the catalogue from wardell or done the apparel shop on the archipelago, then those items can't be obtained unless you have the DLC or trade. at least from what i've seen, correct me if I'm wrong. everything else is accessible though (from what i've seen, again i could be wrong)

Question for you, are the items you buy from work limited items like how the top row items in nooks cranny? Like if I buy them all can my wife or kids who also play on the same switch island still get items or will they show up as sold out?

They will be sold out for them. I have an area on my island where I drop any new items. Then my son (or friends) can catalog them when he gets on. That way we both have access to them.

If you mean Wardell’s shop at archipelago - they will have their own selection of random items even if you buy them all as each profile gets separate save for the dlc even though you all play on the same island (so buy all you want, they do not have access to “your” shop in archipelago and cannot buy from the items you get, they get their own instance of that shop and you cannot buy from their random selection)
