McDonalds and other lawsuits were dismissed because their photos showed everything that is actually in their burgers at in the correct amounts. They're just positioned outwards so you can see everything. Subway is just blatantly faking their product by loading their subs with lots of meat for the ad, but which doesn't exist for an actual sandwich.

Exactly what I’m saying. Never really cared for Subway when there are much better sandwich shops (JJs, Jersey Mikes, Wawa, QuickChek etc.) I’ll eat at Subway if there’s literally nothing else around… Imagine if they advertised the sandwiches they made in store versus the ones in the commercials 😂

As soon as they got ride of the spicy Itl I stopped going there, I had noticed shrinkflation way before this in Seattle at some of the stores down town but there rents were supper high. Then I noticed it start to spread to where I live 20 mins south of seattle, amounts and prices. None of the Subway around me would take cupons either.

During the Foot Long lawsuit, the CEO commented that he was shocked that they were complaining about the roll being an inch short and not the fact that they cut back on the meat portion by 25%. As soon as they cut back on the meat by 25% I noticed right away, the first time I thought it was just one of those things, you can't get it right 100% of the time. After the second time of getting a sandwich where the roll outweighed the meat, that was it for me. I haven't eaten at Subway since.

They had to stop because the franchises were losing so much money. Subway corporate treats their franchises very poorly. Why anyone would buy one, I'll never know. Subway will give you a franchise and then give another person a franchise down the street, which means you're competing against not only other brands, but other Subways too. They don't care because they make money simply selling supplies and charging fees to their franchisees.

They're more prevalent than most other sub shops; they also tend to be in more remote areas. For a lot of people, it's the only option. I agree there are way better options; Jersey Mike's is absolutely fantastic. Ironically, the only negative experience I had at one was IN JERSEY.

All restaurants are getting bad, especially the chains. Subway rips you off and they want you to tip them on top of that. Five Guys is just as bad. I went there a week ago with a few coworkers. A burger, fries, and a drink cost me over 20 bucks. The burger really wasn't that good, and they expected a tip as well. Tip screen on the card reader as well as a tip jar. Pathetic.

Then the burger was run over by a MACK truck. Not even looking close to the ads.

I used to be a franchisee part owner of Subway. I'm actually glad I got out of the ownership. It was booming when I started. 5 dollar footlongs, Jared was a big spokesman for the franchise. After I left things certainly went downhill. The Jared scandal, high prices, etc. I have no regrets leaving & to make profit u need more than 1 franchise to survive really.

Because legally food companies are allowed to do all sorts of things to make the food look better in advertising photographs. You can look at videos of food photographers. They are permitted to do all sorts of things to make the food look better. There are some limitations. I don't think they can add additional food, but they can spread it out in weird ways that look more impressive from the right angle.

You stuff lettuce, tomatoes, onions, peppers, spinach, and everything else in there and you have a fat sandwich. In the last 6 months or so every subway sub comes with a build sheet showing everything that goes in your sandwich, how much neat, slices of cheese, and right on down to the shakes of salt, pepper, or parmesan cheese.

Shrinking portion size is shortsighted because if the customer leaves hungry or is hungry 20 minutes later they may not return. I completely chopped Subway when stores were allowed to slice their own meat and the store near my house slicing it paper thin. That's after I had cut back due to low quality bread and flavorless vegetables, for the same money you can get a much better sub almost anywhere. Subway seems doomed to me.

Had been my go to since early 90s through 2021. When inflation set in, they cut back on everything. My go to now, Publix, their footlong is really that, better price too. Subway ruined their company by being greedy.

I stopped going to Subway like over a decade ago when I noticed the Cold Cut Trio, which is supposed to be bologna, ham, and salami, which all used to have color, like pinkish red, are now all grey. Like ALL Grey! I can't get jiggy with that.

I'm all for Subway being held accountable. Yes, groceries are expensive as well, but making your own food is still cheaper than eating out. Yes, making your own food is time consuming but it is called being a adult.

Shorting isn’t the word for it. I got a meatball sub a few weeks ago and never again. It had 3 half meatballs or 1 and half total. It was just sad and completely ridiculous!!! They laugh of course when you ask or question them.

Exactly, if you are gonna pay big money, go to Jersey Mike’s. They charge much more, but they do give you good portions. However, it's better to learn to copycat JM's.

I stopped going to Subway 4 years ago when stuff like this was already happening. the clincher for me was going and seeing their tuna had little puddles of water in it. A clear indication it was reused, left in the fridge overnight if not longer. I ordered a chicken sandwich, the bread was actually had a hardened texture, another indication it was at least two days old, not made fresh the same day. That particular location shut down a few months ago.

I ditched fast food. I was never a fast food person to begin with, inky really got it when drunk. I've gave most of that up too. I'll go to a fast food joint maybe 3 or 4 times.a.year. restaurants I never go to because that's even more expensive. Mostly buy groceries which we all know that is also getting up there in prices

Yes, just learn to make it at home, by using COPYCAT RECIPES. Search that. We make them for $2 bucks or so (at home) and have them very big.

I am never eating at Subway again. I ordered 4 footlongs. The girl got them all wrong. Plus, she didn't put cheese on any of them. You can't see what they are doing anymore because they have a sandwich table with the lid covering what they are doing. I called Subway. They sent 2 coupons for two 6-inch sandwiches. The other thing I have noticed is that the bread itself while may or may not be a footlong is more narrow. We are done!

Japanese advertising restrictions and guidelines need to be implemented. All advertising and descriptions of food must represent what the consumer gets otherwise huge fines are imposed.

I was a regular customer of Subway for years. I stopped patronizing them several years ago for this very reason. Higher prices, shrinking sandwiches. There are local delis and sandwich shops that charge the same and really give you your moneys worth. Subway is on its way out.
