8:06 - 8:17 I KNEW IT!!! All these years since first watching this movie, it always nagged at me that the evo in this movie never sounded like an actual 4G63-T. No matter how many meets I went to, no mater how many exhaust systems I listened to live or on old youtube (circa 2006-2011), it just never added up. But one day I overheard an S2000 flying past, and somehow I was reminded of this moment. I looked up in-car sounds (again on youtube), and there it was. That elusive sound that had aggravated me for so long finally had a name to go with it. I've been right about a few things before; but this.... this puts a smile on my face.

Honestly one of my favorite cars of the series, topped only by Leon's R33. Dunno what it is about the car, it's just so cool looking especially with the blue lights against the green/gold candy paint. Plus the Evo 7 itself is such a crisp design, the bodykit only enhanced the look and honestly it made me use the Evo in many racing games as a kid lol. And of course, I had no idea Lancer tailights were used on an Evo, that's some clever attention to detail you did to pull off that look so well

My Evo 7 is still one of my fav cars to drive. The stroked 2.2 4g63 is making only 590 wheel but the torque curve is super flat, full boost at 3200rpm and it pulls great to red line. My 900 wheel EvoX and my 97 Supra making 1170 wheel on E85 are fun to drive and the supra deff pulls the attention but nothing i have ever owned is as fun to drive as the VII. We building a R33 night now that is mine and hubbies. The build is planned to make right at 800 wheel (2.8 RB26) and do so with great reliability and very drivable. We will prolly run a street tune that's about 600 wheel and gonna be really responsive and not peaky at all and for highway pulls a tune that's around 800 wheel and maybe even run a really hot tune with meth injection. Not sure yet on how the tunes will be final but 600 wheel is plenty for daily driving and 800 for hard pulls with a much more peaky less drivable highway pull tune. If it's even close to as fun as the VII i will be in heaven.
