I live in sunny, beautiful Arizona. The snow looks really nice from 2000 miles away, no way in hell you'd catch me out in the snow and cold, that's just not right!

Snowed here too! My hill getting out of here is 18%, so I'm grounded until the Schwalbe Marathon Winter tires arrive, or this melts off. Looks like yer having fun though. You really have to watch out for the rear tire unloading on you, and dumping yer butt in the snow. With our 60/40 weight bias hills can be tricky too. Your videos are always fun. Thank you.

That's good advice . But it is so much fun. Thanks for the comment . Stay safe. 👍

@@Thetrikejunkie Keep having fun my friend. Don't put anything on your rear rack, during this. I've seen people flip their trikes, with less then five pounds of weight on the rack, in low traction situations. I watched one lady actually flip her trike 180. Came back down on her wheels. All she had, was her lunch and some basic bike tools, in her rack bag, less then a couple of pounds. Has the cold been making your headsets stiff at all? I never had my Catrike Road, with its indirect steering out in the cold. The Expedition's direct steering, has never been affected by cold. Get a set of Crank Brothers Egg Beater pedals for that thing too. I have Shimano SPD pedals. Foot suck, can really hurt. Some guys swear by heel slings but I like to wear sandles, so I use SPDs. With the different shoes you like to wear, heel slings might be the way to go.

you need some Schwalbe studded snow tires for that trike..
@Thetrikejunkie3 жыл бұрын
Didn't know they even made those. I'll have to check them out. Thanks for the comment

Wow! LOL you are more dareing then I am sir! We haven't gotten any of that ebil white stuff here in NJ yet, but I have a new Rambler with a Bafang 1500watt mid drive on it and I might just have to take it out to explore a little when we eventually get snow. I've heard about adding zipties to the back tire for increased traction

Rambler is a nice trike. Very Tough trike that can go anywhere and with the Bafang 1500 watt, NICE ! You will have a lot of fun with that Setup. Stay safe and thanks for the comment.

I tried zip ties and they didn't do all that well. I put a MTB knobby tire on and put screws in, and that worked pretty good. I had to replace screws all the time but it did work.

Looks like a lot of fun. You're older than me so I'll just say it and move on quickly. Be safe out there. Me thinks you should replace the front wheels with ski's. Recumbent tadpole snowmobile?

What’s the deepest and coldest you’ve ever ridden in? How do you protect the trike from rust?
@Thetrikejunkie Жыл бұрын
I would have to say about 4 to 5 inches. I just do a good wipe down and Oil the chain Up. Thanks for commenting.

By the way,have you thought about going to Tater TOT this year? I'm going to bring my youngest grandson over from MT, for his first TOT.

Sorry! QUAD time. And with much fatter tires.
@StellarFella3 жыл бұрын
You're not pedaling. What's the point? If you're jus going to ride around without pedaling, ride a QUAD. You'll have far less spills.
