Dom saying that line is basically confirmation that the script writer or maybe Vin Diesel himself acknowledging how his character is basically a fucking Superhuman as long as he's in that car. I honestly think that line was purposely meant to be cheesy and a little cringe to get a cheap laugh from the audience.

Our choices at this point are: 1) Jesse from the first movie (he was shot but we never saw him getting a burial). 2) Johnny Tran as a bad guy seeking revenge (he was shot but we never confirmed he was dead) 3) Leon, yeah, remember him from the first movie? The yellow Skyline guy? He didn't die but at this point he had less screen time that people that died ages ago. 4) Vince (I guess they confirmed his death but still, I wouldn't be surprised if they did it to hide him from the bad guys) 5) Helena (if somehow Cypher was a deep deep DEEP sleeper agent, she could've faked her death to convince Dom of her evil ways) 6) Takashi from 3 as a bad guy. Also alive when we left him but still, we are running out of people to bring back at this point 7) Arturo Braga from 4? I don't even remember what happened to him to be honest.

The biggest problem I had with Fast X wast at the end of F9 they teased Han confronting Deckard Shaw and setting it up for Fast X so that you're expecting some kind of resolution to the fact that Deckard Shaw tried to kill Han and thought that he did but then in Fast X it's just a throwaway scene and nothing really happens and nothing got resolved. On top of the fact that in the post credits of F9 Han still had his short hair and in Fast X during that scene Han has long hair. You can't just overlook a continuity issue like that. Another issue I have with this movie's plot is that even though Jason Momoa was great in this movie the villain he plays is a dumbass. 😶 He waited until after 4 movies to come and get his revenge for his father giving Dom and his family more time to become more experienced as super spies and gain superhuman strength and immortality. So now even if Jason Momoa's character wants to harm or kill Dom and his family he literally can't. Even if he does manage to kill them they'll just rise up from the dead more times than Jesus Christ himself.

Your criticism of the movie and the completely missed opportunity of resolving the issues that Han/Shaw should have with each other are right. But the part about "giving Dom and his family more time to become more experienced as super spies and gain superhuman strength and immortality" just made me laugh so hard because it's true. Before F6 he would have been believable if anyone died or had their life at risk but since, everyone is revived or able to survive anything. Even John Cena blowing up just felt too sudden and silly so it didn't register the way it should.

We really must be in opposite world because my brother is like Alex and has deeply hated the series since five only watching it for fun at this point. I love them all, Like Joe, and I feel this one was tame as hell compared to the last 3 or 4. My brother teared up on a certain scene and told me it’s his favorite since the 5th. So yeah man the fast franchise has a rooted place in my heart and the family theme as hysterical as it is means a lot to me who didn’t get to have time with cousins and aunts or even grandparents growing up. Momoa killed it in this and I want to see more. Maybe a Hobbs and Shaw sequel where the rock kicks his ass but still loses.

The first thoughts that came to my mind 30min in to the movie: 1. Rome is ghost town apparently (especially Vatican) 2. Dom NEVER uses his seat belts, yet he is still perfectly fixed to the car. 3. Everyone and their grandma is a kung fu fighter and can apparently go toe to toe with what are essentially black ops soldiers. 4. Dom being an operative of a high profile Agency, yet still lives in a ghetto house from 1st movie? The only one who does it right is Shaw (Jason Statham). I just need ot to happen. Have them chatting to their pet fish aquarium in a hideout. Have them wear matching orange and green jumpsuits.
