after having a mental breakdown and looking on amazon, i might be able to help the people that have all the pieces but it still won’t turn on. when you’re connecting the white box thingy and the led lights, make sure the arrow on the white wire and the arrow on the black wire are pointing directly at each other. that was the problem with mine. also make sure the remote is turned on and the battery is in the right spot. if that wasn’t it, i’m sorry.

Anyone else having this problem? I put these on the back of our wall mounted LED TV. Looks AWESOME. Certain buttons on the TV remote change the LED lights color. The TV is a Vizio. I fixed it by putting electrical tape around the RF eye (already hidden behind TV) and aimed it directly to the right. So if we decide to change the color we just have to aim remote behind the right side of TV.

GREAT question. Ironic you mention this, because every time I adjust my receiver volume (Yamaha) with the remote or the DirecTV remote it changes the colors on my strip. Must be on the similar remote frequency. Try to unplug your power supply from the strip with the battery removed from the remote. Then plug in the power supply to the strip, then put the battery back in the remote. It might work or it might not. Worth a shot though! Keep me posted! You wouldn't. You would make a cut if you wanted a custom size per se. An attempt could be made possibly with a soldering iron and a skillful eye but for the low prices of these kits, I would recommend just grabbing a couple. Hope that helps and thanks for watching. You can buy little white connectors for this. You remove a small amount of the silicon to expose the copper connector and you can either solder them as mentioned with additional wire to say made a 90 degree bend or use the white clips to extend the strip. Most only come in 5m lengths.

i am not sure, i did not purchase mine at Walmart, i bought 6 sets from amazon and one did the same as you describe, i emailed them and they sent me a whole new set and said i could keep the defective one, so i have a whole reel that i can use at my discretion, with a bad controller box, but you can daisy chain them so im ok with that.

+AirSoft Collector yeah there might be a bit of adhesive residue left if you take them off but it easily comes off. I have had a couple of different sets behind my two televisions and changed them to the ones I have now and the adhesive left came off easily. I have now used small bits of blu tac to secure them and they stick fine so I wouldn't worry about it. It's not really thick glue or anything. They look really amazing behind the TV when lit up with the various colours.

You have to place in the white thingy where to the lights can work you have to put it in a way and to if you don’t have the block like his try putting a thinking in harder or the paper from the remote

Obex late reply, but you hold down the up and down arrows when in diy mode then you can customize how bright a color is so you can get custom colors

@@gabbenn if youre familiar with rgb color codes its basically the same, when pressing diy button the light becomes white because the default diy color code is 255,255,255 which meas r 255, g 255 and b 255. Try pressing the down arrows until the color changes in diy
