@@petrpodskalsky1785 I totally agree with you. Knowing how to make a warp drive does no good without the needed resources. We need to develop the needed alloys power systems and shielding and defection systems. To do that we need a space infrastructure. While I think the theoretical energy level needed is way too high it well need an enormous amount of electricital energy. To do that we need to develop antimatter catalyzed fusion with very high electrical output with small enough size reactors. The only way I see us producing enough antimatter is around Jupiter. On earth there is a process where we can make 5 to 10 grams per year on the moon 5 or 6 times that for the same size factory. Around Jupiter in the kilograms. To do these things we need a planetary infrastructure. Plus antimatter is a shortcut to a interplanetary infrastructure and civilization. You see this kind of factory would be solar powered with a passive cooling ring. It would bring the cost down of getting a payload in orbit to equal cost of the way we do it now when you take away dry weight and fuel using it as a heat source. But you use it for antimatter catalyzed fusion it takes a thousand times less antimatter. This is a energy efficiency that would make it as easy to get around in our solar system as it is to get around on earth. 1 gram of antimatter is about 3 times the bomb droped on Japan 43 to fifty kilotons.

The reasons to develop more advanced techs in space exploration, including those you all have discussed during this vlog, are to improve space steps, also to avoid the extreme events that might be occur (World War or some other conflicts) for the survival of humankind and break the barriers to up average civilizational level. FTL and jump drive could help us to be a multi-planetary species during the DAL and DERN universe to recognize more peaceful civilizations. The other habitable planets have different frequencies than Earth, even in the same 3rd dimension; and an accurate space-time destination is keypoint when the passengers in the spacecraft (whatever the types they've driven) are at hyperspace.

How does a FTL ship protect itself from colliding with space dust, meteors, or whatever? At such speeds small dust particles could cause major damage. Is a “sci-fi” type force field be needed?
@asteronx2 жыл бұрын
The jump which covers great distance takes place within a single quanta of time, an extremely brief moment (less than one tick of time, so to speak), therefore, the ship is in no danger of hitting debris. However, before the ship is able to jump, it must first accelerate up to the speed of light, this takes roughly four hours. It is during this time the ship must rely on shields which are projected many, many metres ahead of the ship where the debris can be and is slightly deflected aside. By the time the ship reaches where the debris was, the debris is now pushed far enough as to no longer be able to in danger the ship.

Case in point they say hyperspace is also time past which infers time travel. Time travel into the past is mathematical nonsense there has never been any observational evidence that time goes backwards. The arrow of time only goes farward. When they start including this kind of thing into there opinions then it becomes speculation not based on observational evidence.

Basically using the bose Einstein condensate with the frame dragging effect and altering the quantum vacuum fluctuation and merging high specific impulse of a magneto hydro dynamics propulsion systems within these fields. Even Miguel Alcubierre states that FTL travel isn't possible because of the problem of blindness. If you're going faster than you can see, it's impossible to see whatever items, dark or otherwise, are in your flightpath. The enormous energies involved simply confirm that if you're going to have a collision (which you can't predict), then it will be catastrophic and lethal since you won't be able to see those objects before the light reflected from them even arrives to your sensors to see and avoid them.

Nonsense for one thing time travel into the past is mathematical nonsense. There has never been any observational evidence what so ever that anything can go into the past because it doesn't exist. The arrow of time only moves farward. Time travel comes from the idea that if a particle travels from right to left farward in space and time then if it moves left to right it is going backwards in time. In other words mathematical nonsense. This also means the time paradoxes are also mathematical nonsense. While I am on the subject the idea that anything going below light can't pass light is nonsense or speculation. The idea that anything passing light well go backwards in time the past doesn't exist it is nonsense. The idea that something going pass light can't drop down below light nonsense. The idea that passing light speed there is a wall you can't go passed is nonsense. It is a condition of spacetime geometry to acceleration time dialation. You change spacetime geometry the conditions that stop you from passing light then you can. Also the large power levels stated in current warp drive theory are wrong because it is based on the wrong thing mass energy equivalent in the nagitive.
@kevinmerendino7612 жыл бұрын
And yet the "great expansion" can not be quantified. Dark matter's mass remains illusive and no idea just how dark energy is produced. Meanwhile we send an IR space telliscope into orbit that has promised to show just where the universe origin is. I propose that dark matter mass IS infact another dimension. One where TIME itself does not exist. Thus by definition would be older then the birth of our universe, older then the Big Bang. Even maybe as the cosmos moves thru the PRE (or more precisely) ALL existing it creates Dark Energy charging the universe like static electricity on a cold winters day. But then "nonsense" right? Well, time will tell.

If FTL were possible then it would make the Fermi Paradox much worse. And if an FTL, or even relativistic sub-light, spacecraft somehow travelled through ordinary space then there is the major problem that space is not empty: the small number of gas molecules and dust would pack a huge wallop when the spacecraft hits them, ablating its outer surface.
@clementvining24872 жыл бұрын
First off I think the fermi paradox is mathematical nonsense. We don't have enough information it is pure speculation. They don't take into account migration, development and need of resources. If one race wanted to populate most of the galaxy at sublight speed it would only take 10 to 20 million years. Now add to this a number of different races doing the same thing. Now do we go out in the wilderness and make the primitive people live like us. Look at our DNA it is slightly different than any other species on earth. We may be a lost colony. So we may be part alien. And there is plenty of evidence of advanced technology in our past but it is discounted. Alien races maybe observing us as a primitive race until we learn how to pass light speed. As for warp drive most really don't understand what warp drive is so they make these wild speculation about it. The dust particles and molecules would be deflected around the ship never coming into contact with the ship. You are distorting spacetime geometry and the particles and molecules are in space. Now this is not the only thing redirecting this but part of it. Some of what is called warp drive isn't. Warp drive is not as difficult as most think but we need the correct resources to make it possible. Warp drive is a loophole in general relativity space. Space has no speed limit and it is space that is moving not the ship. You are using spacetime geometry itself as a medium. It is a massless bipolar spacetime geometry distortion. A flow in spacetime. Space is curved around the ship the space in front contracts the space in the rear expands. The need for nagitive mass or nagitive energy and amount needed is an assumption. It is based on mass energy equivalent that is not the only way.

Where we have a magnetic field that is rotated by separate electric currents on as fast as possible using a high of a high current high frequency power supply. The thought is that the ridiculously small equivalent mass that in that magnetic field in the form of magnetic energy would be so relativistic that it would behave as a massive object spinning around thus creating a warping of space. Maybe even generating gravity waves should the frequency be faster than twice the propagation of light and therfore voltage across the pins in this three phase device since its between two pins both emitting fields. Would that work? Goal is to be as cheap as possible but the wieght may still be too high without superconductors or supermaterials of any kind. What do you think?

Thrip on star trek was a mechanic before he worked on warp drives. A few billion wouldn't build a warp core unless you could find or make something like dilithium crystals. I don't think you know what a warp core is. A warp core holds warp plasma that is science fiction on star trek. It is a extremely dense high energy plasma. It is produced by colliding antimatter into dilithium crystals which is also science fiction. Dilithium crystals changes the quantum state of matter. In other words it is part of the power systems on star trek. Its energy is used on the warp coils to make subspace displacement on star trek. But it is not warp field energy. Now according to how it is made and the amount of energy it produces there is something in the real world would be like warp plasma. It was discovered a few decades ago by accident but we have nothing like dilithium crystals that can change the quantum state so we can only make a few atoms of it and it only last a few microseconds.
