I think you know what you’re talking about Jeremy, way above my pay grade for sure. The technical info is way too complicated for me but I’m sure there are lots of younger people who will understand the words of wisdom you give them. I’m 73 so this stuff is way out of my league but I do like to see the numbers when you run the vehicles on the dyno. Nice work!👍👍

I always enjoy the shit out of your videos. One day, when you have a turbo vehicle on the Dyno, I’d like to know if going from a stock throttle body to a bigger one would make any difference. My guess would be zero difference on a turbo car.

I’ve got a 92mm Tb on my ls1 turbo gto. Throttle is way too sensitive. I’m thinking on going back to stock. My intercooler piping is 2.5” which is smaller than the stock throttle body bore. So in my mind, I see no loss.

G'day Jeremy. Nice work on the porkipotomas....this guy down in Aus makes awesome cutout kits and even extreme duty ones to handle the most aggressive antilag/2step. If his gear can handle rotary 2step and over 1000kw stuff it should walk all over what you will throw at it. Some links to his site and fb post showing his super duty cutout.. www.activeexhaustsystems.com.au facebook.com/459871950728061/posts/1792315620817014/ Just for the when your electric one fails.. :p Oh And i have nothing to do with this guy i just like his work.

Also I have a 09 Hyundai Genesis sedan 4.6 V8 180,000 highway miles. , I've been looking for more power without going supercharger or turbo, would it be worth it to get my car tuned? And if so would I have to go with a different ECU to get it tuned ? Or are there some things I can do to get more power out of the car without a aftermarket ecu? I'm just broke af and between jobs right now so I'm looking for budget power right now untill I start taking in some cash and be able to buy real upgrades

Don’t ever put yourself in a pinch over car stuff it’s a bad move. When you have the $$ you get what you pay for most of the time. Depends on the tuner. I typically recommend my customers do most of the bolt ons before having the car tuned and everyone’s happy in the end.

With that throttle body angle, could you get a CNC milled adapter plate that is a wedge shape? Would bring it all out a few MM further forward, but the angle would be better for that intake flexi pipe. It looks like the stock angle wants you to put the intake on the driver's side :-)

Ok, so you spent $1k inc labor and gained less than 5% more hp ? Won't be felt in the 'pants' dyno. Just get serious with that pully and the exhaust. Is that air box and filter combo choking things up ?
@gordowg1wg145
@gordowg1wg145 6 жыл бұрын
Ah, as I understood it, with direct injection it can, in theory, be applied at any time up to, and including, the ignition point - I say including because I understand some lean burn applications direct the fuel to the ignition location to ensure a richer mixture for initial combustion? I haven't seen all your videos but what have you done to optimise the air filter and, more particularly, the housing design - that could be a big part of your pressure drop? Oh, really like the way you are looking to optimise all the various aspects rather than just 'bolt on a pulley' as so many other 'tuners' do - you should get gains everywhere. With the scorched rear end, since you are putting a lot more heat energy into the exhaust, the whole thing is going to be hotter, all the way to the tail-pipe - perhaps some additional heat shielding and, maybe, some thermal barrier paint on the exhaust system might help? Especially as if it is stationary it is going to be radiating something fierce to the surrounding parts with no cooling air. With the clamp, just use two joined up next time, for testing and even permanent use if need be.
