FABRICATION IDEA!!!!! At 8.00 minutes on video. That blue tape could be the top of an oil cooler meeting up with edge of radiator. Now put an (Iroc hood style or testerossa style) bedside vent, back close to tail lights (creating a negative pressure sucking heat out of cooler fins). Now create side scoops (on bedside) behind cab, to create a positive pressure flow in front of coolers. Now go to other Side and mirror everything with transmission/transfer cooler. Install a few aluminum sheets in the bed to direct airflow. Anyway. That's how I would do it. Who knows how cool it could get with several minds spending hours working it out. But the negative pressures ARE very good heat pullers!

For the parachute you should make a removable U-shaped bar that mounts to the bed. If you made it wide enough you could fit it around the radiator. I have some designs that i drew up if you throw your to me ill send them your way. That way you could extend it any way you want and can remove the parachute to clean up the look when there is no need for it. A solid bar from the frame to the bed could really help the rigidity of the bed, as well as make a perfect mount for the chute. Also, LEO here! Thanks for your support. I really appreciate it.

What about gills behind the rear wheel wells to feed air into the radiator? Kinda like big naca ducts. Also gets the air in from a high pressure zone rather than the low pressure area behind the cab. That could keep the air intakes below the body line rather than sticking out. Could also run another from underneath as well

Just a little back story before getting to my main point. I am a Navy Vet, currently in the Army, about to retire. My latest MOS is Machinist/welder and a competition sheet metal worker. I have always wanted to use those skills for myself, which I have never been able to do.. Ever since I was 14, I have envisioned a specific custom vehicle; a custom job that I have never seen or heard of. I did end up with the first piece of this vehicles puzzle but it never went any further than a plan; a dream project. My first daily driver was an all original 69 C-10 (307ci, turbo 350, long bed, nothing special). My dream and what I would have loved to see this turned into was a 69 K-10, Crew Cab, Turbo Diesel, pass thru (through) tandem rear axeld 6x6, with late model Bell's &, whistles for suspension and interior. I have had this truck plan blueprinted (hand drawn; not true blueprints LOL) plus I have been planning parts and donor vehicles since I was able to drive but I never found the time or money (mostly, it was a time and a tool/equipment issue) to get it together. Now that I am in my mid 40s and so close to retirement, I will have the time to do what I have been dreaming of. One way or another, I will end up building this truck at some point; tools and equipment would only make it easier and provide a more "presentable" finished product ..... but, even without, I still have plans to complete this build. I can appreciate anyone that helps someone to fulfill a dream; I salute those that help others to reach points where they couldn't have reach on their own. Channels like yours keep my dream alive. I watch the builds that you do and get a renewed excitement about something I have wanted to do for ...... 30, 35 years. I thank you for that. Having PTSD/TBI, it often takes having something to look forward to, just to get through some days. Your videos give me that; reenergizing my dream while providing entertainment and making my mind explore new ideas for my plan. Again, I thank you. Keep up the great work. I look forward to your future projects and getting started on my own.

Just a heads up and sorry if a bunch of people have already commented on this. I noticed you are using a .75 diameter roughly 4" long endmill to do the milling of that one piece in the video. While it's not the end of the world you are asking for trouble and greatly increasing the time required to make your cut compared to a stub version of that same tool, or better yet a 2" facemill. A shorter tool will increase your speed, cutter ridgidity, accuracy and just give you an overall better end result. Just trying to help you out and not tell you you're doing anything wrong. Love your videos! Keep up the good work!

For that length of coolant hose probably be a good idea to put a booster pump to help take the stress off the main engine water pump with the water flow since you almost doubled the capacity with all that hose. It's kinda like a boat, one pump to pull the water out of the lake/ocean and the stock engine pump to circulate the coolant through the engine. Also it might be to late of a suggestion but I've been liking the turbocharger from Nelson racing engines, he designed a mirror image turbochargers (1spins clockwise and the other spins counterclockwise) so everything stays symmetrical and looks a hell of alot cleaner in the engine bay.

12:57 brought me to tears. And I don’t cry lol. But I do know that there are other veterans that need to hear that more than I do. Was very heart warming. Also, I’m not a fabricator, welder, etc... but I like to problem solve. I’m assuming you only need the shoot for running down the strip. Have you thought about extending it out by like 4 inches, and setting it up on a “hitch” style receiver to the bottom of the truck, off of whatever strong points down there. Make braces from the top of the radiator mount bar that com Dow to support the shoot too. I don’t know if this is already a thing. But essentially you would be able to remove it for road tracks and have it for the strip and give the wing room to fold however you want it to? It looked like it was originally designed to be removed but I don’t know?

I can't imagine how happy your customer was to hear his blood sweat and tears invested into a build, which he was likely proud of... feels like your go cart. LOL Thanks for the content!

Great stuff Jeremy! What a build! So much work and figuring things out. Really looking forward to see where this leads. Speaking of leading, thank you for your spiritual input. Excellent choices for the music suggestions. This world needs more Godly gearheads! You are in a great position to make a difference in a lot of peoples lives. There's a lot of darkness out there and the enemy takes down far too many people. You inspire me to use my God-given motor-minded abilities to be a light to others. Keep it up brother and God bless from a fellow chevy guy on the tail end of my first LS build and swap.

You should sell raffle tickets to try and get the funds recouped for building the truck and for a stage 2 of the truck. Have the winner(s) come out and drive the truck or if that's some kind of liability then maybe hold a meet and greet where winners can come out and meet you, laz, and George at a track and have a killer time. Thanks for the detail most people wouldn't get into and keep on trucking

LOL Not a good idea to have random people driving a very fast truck! Too much liability. But I’m sure he will have plenty of events in the future for fan ride alongs

@@EGHeartattack lol, its a very good idea... I personally can handle it and would love an opportunity to drive it. I know there's a good chunk of people who might not be able to handle it, it would be a liability for sure for them to drive it. Another idea would be to have a bidding war and winner gets to drive it.or hold an autocross event and winner gets to drive it. And either way he could always put in a soft tune if the person's skills are questionable...

Brother2JiS_27s4 216 No, it’s not a good idea because of liability my friend! It’s way too dangerous! You may think your able to handle it but giving a random fan the keys to a 700+ hp monster is beyond risky. This idea would never work... Why do you think no other automotive channel does these types of “giveaways”? I’m sure Jeremy will be offering lots of rides tho! Go out to one of the future events and ask Jeremy! I’ve met him one time at a Florida event and he was super down to earth.

@@EGHeartattack I'm very aware it's a liability... Geez... That part was meant to be funny-could you imagine how many tickets would be sold if that was the prize? That's all that was meant by that. The other part however is more along the lines of what I believe he should, meet and greet and ride alongs would be pretty epic... And when everyone has left he'd toss me the keys cause we'd have a silent agreement to do so, right Jeremy? Wink, wink, nudge, nudge

I heard you mention "looping the auxiliary cooling" on the pump. You should plug them in case it is the point of least resistance and you end up bypassing most of the cooling to the engine. Cool Channel.

On your airflow - the air will go from under the truck and around the sides and curl around and basically push back to front in the bed/tailgate area. Wasn't sure of that until I drove an old truck with no roof (a whole other story) and a load of bark. By the time we got back to the job, I was fighting a pile of bark to use the brake pedal. Itchy...for...days... haha
