Went up twice in September. First time had the pleasure of views similar to yours, second time took a day off work as the forecast was clear. Amazing when you can actually see! Both times went up from seathwaite and along the corridor route. Fantastic.

Hi Tony, I have done SP three times, twice from Wasdale and once after Great End and then over the boulder field. The Wasdale "tourist route" gets a bad press, but the views can be stunning. Have done the National 3 peak challenge. The favourite top was Ben Nevis. It was the only one that was clear. Walking through snow in June is surreal which was in clouds but to then get a clear top and be the highest person in the UK was hard to beat as was the views of mountains below that looked like a Toblerone advert 😊. Keep the great videos coming mate.

Hi Nick, Nice Jen mate, I think they can both be great routes up but it depends on when. I loved going up this route on this day but there are definitely days when I’ve found it too busy. I only took one piece of litter off this day but have taken many more in the summer. Ben Nevis is stunning. So glad you got a good day for it. Totally know what you mean, everything else is dwarfed 😂. Enjoy it out there mate 🥾😁⛰️

Hi Tony, fab video once again. Well done going up this time of year when conditions can be challenging. We walked up the steep path onto the Lingmell plateau first which was brutal in the wind but great views once we got to the summit than descended the same route as you which has amazing views. We were in Keswick this weekend for my daughters 30th but the galeforce winds and heavy rain put paid to our planned walk round Derwentwater. The bonus was we visited all the newish Craft and Ale Houses instead so Saturday certainly wasnt wasted 😂 All the best

Hi Tony, That sounds a great route as it will be the Great Gable views on the way up and Wast Water coming down 😄. Yes, it was a very stormy weekend so best to enjoy the village, I hope you had a great time 🎈. There are some nice craft ale houses now. The Crafty Baa is my favourite 🍺. Enjoy it out there mate 🥾😁⛰️

well done Tony mate, as always a great film. Your plan to document the other routes is a great idea which brings me onto another suggestion. Have you considered making a film on your journey / history of hill walking and how you have pieced together your knowledge over the years ? My area is the Carneddau, and I discovered that after doing a few different routes you start to build an understanding of the relationship that the hills have to one another. It's that relationship which makes subsequent walks so powerful, as you no longer see a walk/summit as a target but its place in the overall landscape. It would be interesting for you to discuss this in a film.

@@familytabletch7517 Thanks mate, that’s a very interesting idea. I’ve some thoughts for how I can put that together so hopefully I can get some ideas in place for next year. Thanks for the inspiration and enjoy it out there 🥾😁⛰️

Hi Tony great walkalong video. I like your style of commentary. It's almost like walking with you. Shame you were clagged in at the top but you got some great views just prior to that. The route up looks easy enough for a nipper to do so I may take my grandson up when we get slightly longer days. Good tip about the radio. It's never crossed my mind to get one but I think I will now. Is yours the walkie talkie one you list in the description? Thanks for sharing ATB David
@trekkingwithtony
@trekkingwithtony Ай бұрын
@@davidburgess9058 Hi David, thanks mate, it’s ideal for children as it’s the shortest route and a stable path until you hit the bit in the clag, but there is nothing to fall off so as safe as it can be. Hi Tony, fantastic mate, shame it was claggy at the top, but when you’re going high that’s always the risk. I’ve not done Scafell Pike yet. It’s the thought of other people that put me off. Haha When I do I’ve plotted the route up Eskdale over The Great Moss and then up little narrow cove. Just want to do a route that avoids the crowds as much as possible. 🤣🤣 All the best mate, I’m hoping to get up to the Lakes on Tuesday. Dave 😀🥾⛰

Hi Mark, thanks mate and congratulations on Blencathra. Sharp Edge is no place for slippy boots🤣. The shoes are these amzn.to/3VI3Mkq which have been fantastic. Maybe an early Christmas present for yourself🥾. I would recommend these, they have been great. I did nearly slip into Aira Force yesterday but that was nothing to do with the boots, just my own clumsiness😆. Enjoy it out there mate⛰😄🥾
