we get rains like that in N Florida also..If you set some rock dams or even planks across the main flow areas the dirt will settle out. Use it as lanscaping and direct the majority of the flow over hardscape. Your water table is too high for dry wells but sump pumps in strategic areas could send the water to the pond behind the aviary or store it in tanks for later use...

Man you need to Dig a giant pond in the goat are or a dry well where you can run some drain tile under ground and dump into … especially around that fish building that water flow is insane …. Even make a dry creek bed along the side walk that’s landscaped nice flowing to one area on the property to try and help control the water ….

That rain is insaine.. wowww.. now thats alot of water all at once..dang...Wow you sure do alot of rain from the house section, Maybe need like some of those draining pipes the big black plastic ones..put them along the fence line so the water from the house goes in the drains. Then wont have that rushing water from the house area destroying all the dirt and flooding worst then it should. Up there it helps alot cause of the grass

Maybe you could build a well, so u can use that water for the animals, it saves the huge water bill a bit or attach pipes around the enclosures going down into a water drum and use that water x

Blake you mentioned the swamp. Is there no way you can create grates with pipes to take the water to the swamp. Like underground sewers where water that flows down the path can go straight into the overflow pipes

Instead of adding more soil, put in a dry creek bed along your walk. That way you won't have an erosion problem everytime the heavens open up.

What about the tortise outside there? Wont they flood? I had two desert tortise way back in the day and it rained so hard they drowned in their burrow caves they dug themselves. I still wonder to this day they didnt move. They werent found on top like walking around. Was terrible and so strange

I love your aviary! I is my favorite thing on your ranch. Could you put 3 or 4 pairs of Gouldian finches in your aviary or would they get out? Would it be possible if you could get a drainage put in place on the ranch so it won’t get flooded at all, might do a little bit but it may be a good option for you cause you could end up losing some of your animals to the weather

You need to divert the water to a retention area or you’ll just keep replacing the dirt. Maybe put a pond in where mooers and the donkeys are.

It's not "frickin" dirt that you need. You mostly need to bring in rocks and gravel by an earthworks consultant who understands drainage and also cut some channels to drain "frickin" flood water into the natural swamp. You could bring endless "frickin" loads of dirt and it would still "frickin" wash away in the ever-increasing coastal "frickin" rainstorms. Did I use "frickin" too often? Sorry. Good luck to your whole extended family with this growing storm season.
