Why is it that every time someone breaks a record it could never be about hard work & commitment but automatically he/she must have cheated/used drugs? 🤔 While cheating is a reality in many sports, don't you all understand by now that humans will always endeavour to be better that his fellow man/the previous benchmark? Records are meant to be broken. No record will stand forever. Not even Usain Bolt's incredible 100m record! I wouldn't be surprised if someone challenges & breaks this 10k record sometime soon. Congratulations to the honest competitors & record breakers of this race. 👏👏👏💯🔥🔥🔥 'No human is limited'- Kimchoge

Running is the primary mode of transport for kenyan athletes growing up. So it makes sense when they shine in races internationally.
@kroshnix2944 жыл бұрын
What people don't realise is how much these Kenyans have trained in their life. Some of them were running 140 km a week when they were 6 years old (and at high altitude)! There are 1000s of runners in Kenya and Ethiopia that has much more milage than any European or American has. And the most important aspect of getting better at distance running is to get more milage. If anything is surprising in this video it's the guy from Switzerland who is only 49 seconds from the world record.

There's no question mark about it. He just did a 26:24 about 14 seconds faster than Cheptegei did it last year in Valencia.

PED's, IED's, blood doping, steroids, and new designer shoes with in soles to produce an insidious faster performance all are culpable of fictitious cheating times and race results is the way of the running world for the past (36+ years ago =READ!!!) I should know as a former World Class runner, and I competed and raced against these cheaters for(4) four years on the racing circuit for New Balance, Etonic, and Kanagroos National racing teams! My P.R.'s are 14:01.64, 29:33.60, and a 2:18:16 for the 5,000 10,000 meters, and the Boston Marathon were I finished 56th and 57th in the World for two years in a row, as well as being a two time All-American (NCAA) and a Cadet National Champion. I cannot stand CHEATERS like China, Russia, England and a few other Eastern block Countries using these Unlawful substances and need to be immediately "Banned for Life" because the International governing body of Track&Field, road racing, and X-C lack the intestinal fortitude to concretely implement these overriding policies. Let me please make one concrete comment--These times, places, and titles were from 1980 to 1984==Some 36 to 40 years ago! So "STOP" trying to criticize these performances based on today's standards in 2020!!!

@alansamuel24544 жыл бұрын
I will agree with the advantages of the shoes however keep in mind that not Russians literally RUSSIA is banned from numerous sports in the past few years. China was definitely on it with the case of Ma Junren's athletes who are still right on top of majority of the female long middle and long distance events. But England? If they are then they might as well quit it, they're not very much better with any as well. And Kenya I can agree to some extent considering the number of athletes that have been caught in the last few years. One thing of notice in Kenya specifically is that the support staff are the only ones jailed in case an athlete is caught- the athlete gets away scot free with just a banned sentence and are stopped for a few years. What they have done is complete injustice to the runners they compete against. In other professions this would be seen as fraud and the person would get a prison sentence. However nothing of the sort happens in athletics. And props to you for making it out a world class runner, hope you continue to run and enjoy running! I will agree that those who use PED's are violating the honor of the sport but please tell us some link, proof, news article or something to back up these serious allegations you have against these athletes.

And in the case of women this is far more prominent and utterly ridicolous - literally all world records right from 100 m to 800 m are pure jokes. Flo Jo, Carmelita Jeter, Marita Koch, Kratochkovilova were definitely in drugs and this is seriously affecting the possibility of any women challenging their WR's.
