Suspension needs a ton of work Everybody has been commenting about this on his channel. Get a proper setup and it will easily run 7.40s 7.20 with proper body panels

@Squeek Tate no one ever claimed the supra was a street car... neither is all the other cars Leroy raced. Don't think for a second that leroy isn't a full blown race car. Just because it did a race week doesn't mean much. Tom baily and Larry Larson have ran race weeks in thier *PRO-MODS* so I guess that makes them "street cars" too huh... if a car is built to be a 5 sec drag car but also able to run on the street doesn't mean it's a street car bud. Leroy doesn't get driven on the street often so let's not try to make excuses. The car has the potential to be faster once they get the chassis dialed.

Realistically Leroy is made by 3 or 4 guys. Some teams have 8 and up members who have been racing since a child. The budget as well, Leroy has ruby and a couple sisters in the garage. I think he even stated he was sitting in the wrong class at the event as well running against faster times then he is able to put out.

I second the suspension and think he needs bigger exhaust housings w/ different trim, slipper clutch, no lift shift switches, and a different intercooler. Dudes got his work cut out for him, switching motors is a bitch.

On top of having so many other projects and events they host, its amazing they have time to get any of there cars performing as well as they do with not a lot of seat time on the track as a lot of other competitors get. That said, it still seems like they have put the least amount of time into the suspension than any other part of the car. If they get that dialed in, its gonna boogie!

For those who don't know, Cleetus and his shop have a number of project cars, just haven't put the time into Leroy. It's getting a bit more attention now, but even if they dropped everything else, that stick shift record is another time zone compared to that DSM. Leroy will get to consistent 7.7x-7.8x, but keep realistic, that alone will be an insane accomplishment. I have heard Cleetus mention body panels, and if that happens anything is possible.

Sorry, the Red Demon is not a stick shift car. Sure there's an H pattern, but look it up. It's like an auto that you shift. No clutch depression, just straight acceleration and no lift for the gear change.
