This was the intuitive way that I first disassembled my Glock 23. I thought it was common knowledge. It just makes sense with the rear sight being a leverage point.

There’s an easier way: 1. Lock the slide in it’s backwards position 2. Press and hold down on both slide levers 3. Release slide lock 4. Pull Trigger 5. Remove Slide

A hand in front of the muzzle is a bad practice. Thats why there are serrations on most pistol slides. And yeah I know its unloaded but we're suppose to treat every gun as if they were loaded.

I prefer pulling back the slide with clip in so the slide locks, dropping the clip with clip release, pulling down the 2 clip holding levers then while pulling down the slide lock so the slide shoots forward, taking off the slide and removing the internals Can get this done in under 3 seconds, my little speed run method

Love the the video, my only issue and this is my own opinion. I did not like that you racked it with the palm of your hand, for me personally ALWAYS TREAT YOUR FIREARMS AS IF THEY ARE LOADED even if you know that they are empty. Always practice safe handling. That's literally the only criticism I can make, other than that it's a very nice and straightforward video

I am afraid to take any of mine apart. I had a g21 and took it apart for cleaning, I put it back together and it would not shoot semi auto I do not know what I did wrong. I sold the gun and the guy I sold it to has the same problem. Maybe its just a glitch in the system.

SAFETY Note!!!! You should never point firearms (loaded or unloaded) at anything you do not wish shoot. Never place your hand in front of the barrel for any reason; regardless of the condition of the gun. -- Having been a Paramedic for 8 years, a law enforcement officer for 13 and a firearms instructor for over 20 years, I have seen too many people with scars on their hands that resulted from placing their hands in front of what they thought was an empty gun.

One massive con with them is that dam clicker as I call it, getting the latches to click in so the slide can come off compared to a large pin in say a 1911 or a Sig is a pain.

Why do people that create videos about guns always put a disclaimer that they safety checked their gun?...we all know you did. It’s not like you just put up the video on a whim. There was prep time, planned topic bullet points, pre-demonstration set up and so on. Most people who do these videos are firearm knowledgeable and always have decent gun safety handling. I saw a video where a guy removed the magazine, slide racked what seemed like 15 times, did the finger sweep, and then showed an empty chamber to the camera so that people wouldn’t talk shit about not safety checking before he got started.
