How much pressure (grip) do you put on your fingertips when going thru the throwing motion? Like light pressure or is it the maximum that you can exert on your finger tips?

I prefer light pressure-as lightly as you can hold the ball without it coming out of your hand while you pitch. This will allow the ball to snap off your fingers more naturally!

Why not using 3 fingers grip? I use 3 finger when throwing ball not pitching

Thanks for your question! I prefer to teach four fingers for a couple of reasons. #1 many of my pitchers have small hands so the extra finger helps stabilize the ball in their hand and #2 the extra finger can help in powering your wrist snap and improving spin for fastballs and other pitches. Three fingers isn’t wrong, and if it’s working well for you then there’s no reason to change it!

@@plusultrapitching i was moving from 2 finger to 3 fingers now..now because of your opinion i m considering 4 fingers because oh my small hand. Thanks for your great answer
