I was obese. No one THAT obese cares too much about their appearance. Why? Because they have more serious problems than this! Weight loss is not about looking pretty. It's about living a normal life. Tess talks about her beauty and feelings all the time. Girl, I've been to this place. I also had a pretty face. But who cares about a pretty face if you can't get out of bed in the morning? And I weighed much less than her. Terrible knee pain. Always oily skin and hair. Hypertension and diabetes. Terrible blood test results. I was only 20 years old and I had a destroyed body. My metabolic age was 45. While my friends were living life to the fullest, I was almost dying after walking 5 meters faster. All my health problems disappeared after I lost weight. Even losing 10 kilos has already significantly improved my health! And after losing 40 kilos, everything changed. I have now been slim for 7 years. I am tired of people like Tess. You can make idiots of other people, but not of me. I know what it is like to be obese. It is not life.

It horrifying to witness. People like Tess really need to see what happens to the people that they encourage to live like them. They end up with us trying to save what ever life they have left. Its heartbreaking to see.
@mikoto76934 ай бұрын
I’ve seen people during “My 600lb life” and there are so many details that they suffer solely due to their weight. Moving around and walking is actually painful for them because their fat is putting way too much pressure on their joints. Getting out of breath-literally panting-just from walking a tiny distance. Needing nasal breathing assistance, often needing an able bodied person to help them roll over, sit up or stand. Basically needing a makeshift commode at their bedside. Diabetes is very common and their hearts are often struggling to cope with circulating blood to all that fat. I saved the worst for last. Being so morbidly obese that they can’t wash themselves properly. They either don’t fit in the shower/bath, can’t stand up long enough to shower and they can’t actually reach large portions of their skin. They have to get an assistant to literally lift entire rolls of fat so they can wipe and clean the skin under the rolls. You probably have a far better understanding of exactly what gross things will grow under those dark, damp folds that rarely see daylight. The worst I saw in one episode was the carer not doing a particularly good job of washing her, because after she was admitted to a hospital the staff actually found maggots in her folds. Evidently some food had accidentally gotten stuck down there and maggots managed to be laid there and feed. It was on tv. I wasn’t actually there so I didn’t smell it or anything but somehow I managed to recoil in revulsion. Which is weird because I don’t usually react to stuff on tv.

Also what everyone seems to not realize (including Tess) is that she has gained about 80 pounds since her career took off and she lies about her size. I think she used to be an 20 and still claims she's that size. So if you show up for a shoot and nothing fits you because you claimed your waist is 15 inches smaller than it is no one will hire you. I am always happy when I walk by the emergency exit seats and find the long legged guy from boarding was able to snag one before they were all taken. If I notice that the man stuck in the middle seat next to me has limited leg room, I will often move my bag to one side under the seat in front of me and offer to let them “mansplain” (I hate that term, but I don’t know how else to describe what I mean by letting them extend one foot under the seat in front of me/next to my bag). I take issue with someone squishing me into the window due to poor choices (especially, since I have very severe contamination OCD and a neck pain condition that makes flying beyond unpleasant) or an unruly child/baby with passive parents, but I make a point to be kind when the person/baby can’t help their situation. Unfortunately, due to discrimination concerns, many airlines now allow overweight individuals to have two seats for the price of one. Yet, god forbid they offer automatic emergency exit seats to men over a certain height. Our society has such ridiculous priorities.

I don't think she's ever considered that she's never been a true model; she was a P.R. stunt. She was never properly trained on how to walk, how to pose, how to hold herself, how to emote-- she's not the right height or build, she lies about her weight and measurements, so even if she booked a job, the garments wouldn't fit correctly because her profile says one thing and her body shows another. She doesn't have great stamina-- and she's way too thin skinned for the real modeling industry. Public social media cannot be your diary if you intend to actually book jobs and get steady work.

I am on the other end of life from you and believe me, what you do now and the next 30 years is going to have a huge impact on how functional you are later. Exercise, sensible weight, stretching, healthy food, don't smoke, moderate alcohol, regular medical checkups and safety gear (seatbelts, sunglasses, earplugs and goggles when needed) are all things your older self will thank you for. Watch out for toxic people. Have a lifetime learning outlook

@@Michellemcd543 Also i would get your donuts but I’m not able to get a job yet since you know I’m in 9th grade, And I don’t really wanna ask my mom for money Bcs I know we’re in a tight spot, BUT! I will try to support your channel as much as I can because I actually appreciate how you handle things and the ‘constructive criticism’ thing! Also how you treated the autism community in one of ur videos I thoughts was amazing because you actually made sure to use other autistic people’s views and not just say what you think we feel! As someone on the spectrum I really appreciate that 🫡

It's getting so easy to walk up that hill. I got my green shakes and my chia seeds. Lotsa fiber. I'm loosing weight I lost two lbs in two weeks but it's hard to really tell after two weeks cuz I was full of liquids when I checked my weight. I usually walk the hill every day. I'm still loosing weight too cuz my belly is dropping I lost two inches of my waist. I'm so happy. I'm also happy you didn't get canceled cuz it's been a while since you uploaded a video.

Mind boggling these dupes hopping aboard an activism fad without a clue of the understanding of history behind the issues. Even worse is the politicians who do have an understanding pandering to their "trendy" platitudes.

This is something that cracks me up with gigalards. They are all "Truck your beauty standards!", then spends 8 hours eesentially putting makeup on a pile of manure. They'll do *all* of the trends. *Except* putting ANY effort into getting healthier. Though, they DO lie about both. "I have TRIED!".

I think this might be the natural progression from a society feeling they must lie to people about what they actually feel and think, to no longer wanting to do that.

Honestly, I think she can’t find work because she lied about anorexia. Nobody wants that image. Edit: her increasing weight and her toxic behavior didn’t help, but I don’t think they were the final nails in the coffin.
@johannas.l.brushane25184 ай бұрын
Yes, I think most serious agencies and contractors have a BMI limit they can not be under 18, of course Tess exceeds it but they (fashion industry) have been criticized for having models who were ill...soooo going out to state she is anorexic...what did she expect?!?

I think that was her last ditch effort to revive a dead career.

Unless she recovered at break neck speed and rarely relapsed, she definitely lied about having anorexia. Even if someone has a typical anorexia, they will 100% lose weight if they aren't already severly underweight. Tess gained weight and could have BED which would have been a good opportunity for her to educate the public on this lesser known disease instead making up bs.

@MechPhoenix that’s a lot of people in fat acceptance’s problem, they equate not eating for half the day to not eating for several days. Some of them probably have deluded themselves into thinking they are starving themselves because of what Tess said. They see themselves on the same level as someone who is actually starving to death and it drives me crazy.
