All national anthems are symbolic in one way or another. The Anthem itself has origins and is to be fair still unknown of its origin, there is evidence that its actually French anyway. Many Anthems have history. Liechenstein uses the English anthem. America uses 2 of Britains song for their anthems. My Country Tis Of Thee (America) is the same melody as god save the King/Queen. The American national Anthem is an Lyrics Written to a British Drinking song (Anacreon Song) My point is take it for what it is, History. It isnt about Putting the King or Queen before you its about unity of a nation. Humans in majority need to be led and a common song is a way we can all unite. Bringing politics into a thing so mundane as a national anthem that has existed for 400 years is a bit silly. But thats how i percieve it we're all different and the world would be a boring place if we all thought the same. Peace and good luck in life and to your health.
