Props to you on both your diet and being tobacco free! I quit smoking 3 years 4 months ago and I want to say it's the hardest thing I've ever done, but I'd be lying. Maintaining a diet is the hardest, because I still haven't been able to pull that one off. After I ruined my back the weight just keeps coming. Likely due to the large quantities of beer I enjoy drinking. So I am building a bike that is easy on my back, something I can ride as if I was kicked back in bed. I've been scouring the net for ideas, but it's worth looking into. It's called a tadpole recumbent trike. The only time I am pain free is when I'm about in that position, with firm back support, and a comfortable seat. I could even add an electric hub to it so I can push myself past exhaustion, and still be able to get back home. My oh my are these bottles of wine a kick in the pants! The welches grape is flat out delicious, but my apple juice straight went nuclear and lost it's flavor entirely.. instead it tastes like watered down vodka! And if indeed it did get up to 18-20% it indeed would be like a 50/50 shot of water/vodka. I mixed it with a bit of V8 splash and it's dangerously deceptive. I got a full on buzz from half of a short glass. Me likey! Haha. I'm going to go down and add a half teaspoon of sugar to that glass and see if it brings out the apple flavor. I wonder what the difference would be when using real pressed apples this fall. Thanks again PawPaw! Give a man a bottle and he'll be drunk for a day.. teach a man to make alcohol and he'll destroy his liver.. =D haha cheers to that!

Decided I finally had to try this. I haven't messed with making beer in over 10 years, but went and looked through my old supplies, found an airlock with rubber stopper that just happened to perfectly fit a half gallon growler I haven't used in forever. Got a bottle of Cranberry, Blueberry and Blackberry juice (also has grape and apple juice) worked out to be just the right amount for the container. Gotta love that feeling when something(s) that a lot of people might have thrown out years ago come together to be a perfect solution for a problem down the road!

Hi PawPaw! Kudos to you on your diet/lifestyle changes. I really hate going on a diet, and we are getting ready to cut back and make bettter choices here at home too next month. Thank you for your shares and inspiration. We truly love good food and cooking too much for our own good. Also, I wanted to share- We just made our 1st batch of your exact Welch's grape wine recipe and an experiment batch of Apple Cherry. I so LOVED your grape and I LOVE it too much! I didn't like the apple cherry quite as much, but I had mixed the extra grape half with the leftover extra half of apple cherry, and it turned out simply divine too!! I now have the ingredients on the grocery list to definitely make more grape and try another kind of juice...maybe now Orange juice as experiment because well, I can...haha and this will not make it into March I do not believe! hahaha Thanks and congrats on growing bigger # of subscribers! We sure love you and your videos! Keep 'em coming!

around 79 or so I was on the honor detail and we did a burial in chattanooga , heading back to BlythvilleArk I picked up a bottle of orange vodka at a gas station, not realizing it was just orange flavored vodka...hoooooooooooooRAH!!...LOL... try doing a freeze racking with that orange wine, I use a 2liter plastic bottle, let it freeze for 2 days then open it and turn it upside down over a clean container, the first half pint will knock your socks off and the 2nd half pint is pretty dang good as well, all the solids, yeast and majority of water will stay in the ice..I guarantee you'll freeze rack all the others if you try it

Paw Paw.. My wife and I had two half gallon jugs of orange juice go sour in the fridge. The plastic milk jug that it came in was all puffed out! She immediately decided to toss it out. I stopped her and decided to try your OJ Wine recipe. Its been about two weeks. We will see if it turns out. Very interested. Don't know if the sour/already started fermentation OJ will turn out. I will let you know.

I tried 4 different wines . Apple , Molasses & brown sugar , And just a sugar wash that i distilled with a pot and wok and ice . My apple was very bitter like a white wine ( I passed it through the freezer to collect the alcohol ) It went from 4 liters down to 2 liters . I added apple juice concentrate and a little sugar ( A bit too much ) A little too sweet . The best one was the molasses & brown sugar . Made a home made Rum . I need to buy Cola and see if it is good that way . So far i drink 4 shooters like your orange wine was in . Wow a nice buzz but a little to molasses tasting . I freezer distilled that too . 8 Liters gave me 2 liters strong rum . Have you tried the Rum wash ? Out of the two you made today which do you prefer ? Thanks for another great video . Have a great day

So I've recently found your channel and I'm glad I did gonna make some of the apple wine tonight! I have to agree with hugue, those are little packets of nothing but health issues. Here's a list of what makes up the lemonade flavoring...Citric Acid, Potassium Citrate, Maltodextrin, Aspartame, Lemons Juice Solids, Contains less than 22% of, Flavors Natural, Salt, Magnesium Oxide, Ascorbic Acid, Acesulfame Potassium, Tricalcium Phosphate, Colors Artificial, Yellow 5 Lake Because manufacturers do not disclose what is in "natural flavoring", we attach every allergen to it.

I tried apple this month , Frozen concentrate . It came out bitter and dry like a white wine . The yeast ate all the sugar . It was very tart . I freezer distilled it . Three times more alcohol . and added another frozen concentrate to it to give it a bit more sweeter taste . When i bottled it i added sugar in the bottles to sweeten and give it some bubbles . Worked well but a bit too sweet ( Less sugar next time . ( I put the videos on my channel )

I wanted to share some information on the Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) that you mentioned on a previous video. You talked about a formula for figuring out this number, and it came pretty close to being accurate. Another number that I feel is important to know in the weight loss battle is the number of calories needed to maintain your present weight. This tells you exactly how many calories you're eating to see the number that shows up on the scale. Accordingly, the only thing that's important at this point if you're looking to lose weight is to make sure your calorie consumption stays below this number. Knowing this gives you more flexibility in choosing the foods you eat and the meals you plan. Your idea for consuming V-8 juice and boiled eggs is awesome when you look at the number of calories consumed. But unless you vary the foods you're eating, you're inviting failure (as you have mentioned, I believe). Another tool I find very handy is the USDA Nutrition Guide, which is an interactive database that gives the number of calories, carbohydrates (for those watching their blood sugar) and all of the other nutrients found in food. Using these two links, my weight of 315 shows a BMR of 2539 calories against 3407 calories needed to maintain my current weight. Using the USDA database, I have focused on a flexible diet plan with a goal of just over 1500 calories per day. This represents almost half of what the BMR needs to perform its basic functions - the rest has to come from fat. Stored energy. Excess calories. And whatever else makes up the 3407 calories I have been shoveling into my pie hole. The links are here: www.lifespanfitness.com/fitness/resources/calories-calculator ndb.nal.usda.gov/ndb/foods/show/95584?manu=&fgcd=&ds= Like you and everyone else, I'm subject to relapses, too. My main nemesis is Coke and its offspring - but usually just as a socializing tool. I seldom buy them for home consumption. I hope everyone finds this useful.

I haven't noticed the side effect you mentioned And I sure could use it, But I did notice an unpleasant side effect and that is the rotten egg smell from the gas emissions from my back side, So even if I ended up with the grateful side effect you have mine would keep away a person to enjoy it with, On the plus side of this diet my food cost has gone way down, Around a dollar per day for food is great.

how long does the orange wine last once it's ready? it will take me some time to drink it all.

Mine was so strong, I couldn't drink it. Thus PawPaw's Recipe for Drunk Chicken. I used the orange wine as a marinade. It will keep a long, long time in the cooler.

PawPaw, my dad said when he was a teen, he and my uncle used to make corn buck. The recipe is the same as your wine except they used corn soaked in water instead of the juice. Have you ever heard of "corn buck"?

I don't know about that, I don't watch that channel. I have heard that there is some show about making moonshine but corn buck is closer to home brew beer or "corn wine" than moonshine. Moonshine has to be cooked and condensed.

I started 2 bottles of apple juice at the beginning of February when I got inspired by pawpaw's drinks and I'm here to tell you they work just fine! =) But I'd suggest getting wine yeast, it's a higher abv% and doesn't leave you with a bread flavor. And it really isn't expensive! I picked up a 10 pack off amazon for about $6 good for 2 years if left in the fridge and one packet will do 5 gallons.

Hey Paw, can you sample the sediment in the bottom of the orange bottle and let us know if it's sugar. I suspect it is sugar that has dropped out of suspension, and possibly a bit of dead yeast and sugar together. I am curious because my next question is, if it is sweet, can you stir it in to sweeten up the orange drink a bit?
