I understand what your are saying and I agree in the movie world where fucking Rosario Dawson and Katherine Heigl are fighting for some average looking dude's affection. However, in the real world, Swank would be the best a lot of dudes will ever get and not even that. To her credit, not so great face but she does have a killer body. Kidding aside, since her character is a cop, the director probably wanted somebody who looked feminine but also rough looking enough to be convincing.
@DjVanaDee3 жыл бұрын
@@yakuza01 All I see is million dollar baby lol! But for real the thing about these liongate films are the male and female characters just don't exist in real life. You don't usually see successful middle aged women stalking middle aged married men. You usually see broke young women doing that. A women at her peak that likes to "have fun" will usually pick a young guy for that. Married men usually pick younger women to cheat with also. But when two middle age people have an affair they are usually calm and drama free.

The directing was very amateurish. Rewatch it: There were literally no establishing shots. Parts of the movie sounds like it drew inspiration from Snapped which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The execution was just bad. And it was unclear to me if the antagonist planned this from the beginning or her running into him after their one-night stand was really just a coincidence.

well till the point Swank gets in as the detective this movie is fine. Not great but fine. It seemed to me it would try and put a double spin on the whole cheating obsession genre. But once the double twist is over the movie becomes pedestrian. You are left chuckling by the time this movie is over. The 2 lead are seasoned actors and it shows as they do try to be some genuineness in their characters but they have been given a script which has probably played so many times in both A and B grade movies. And the ending is so cliched. At the end all you can remember with the violence or deaths in the movie is what Swank said. We are clean. Fits aptly for this movie. It looks very clean and glossy. Nothing else.
