*Corrections Part 1 of 2: Small corrections and add-ons* 1. The head push after a knockdown is different when your weapon is unsheathed. The direction you face doesn't matter. Instead, you'll get pushed when you are attacking. But for charge animations (except hammer) you'll just clip through his head. As soon as you let go of the charge, his head will push you. 2. When Fatty roars on 4 legs, his head can move slighty more to the right or left after recovering. Where the head moves depends on where the targeted hunter is. This can make the opening inconsistent for weapons punishing it. 3. Fatty can land on either side after an artillery/mount knockdown. But for headbreak, he will always land on his left side. 4. Speed multipliers affect all animations including binder, novas, and knockdowns. Headbreak knockdown duration is ~0.5-1s faster after P3. Binder duration hasn't changed, only the animation speed

Amazing work! For another video, are you going to give a guide on baiting Fatalis' punishable attacks? And recognizing pre-animations? For example, standing close to his head while on all 4s to bait out the sweeper, or at mid range for the cone. Standing too close to his chest will "bait" out the charged fireball. When Fatalis is standing up, and he manually turns to you in the slow animation, I find that he's usually preparing a very dangerous attack, like the hot shower or the cone.

Fireball transition to 2 legs happen in non-enraged state after the second fireball (in phase 1)
@kimmi4242 Жыл бұрын
Hi Blue! Sry I'm not sure I understand... Could you elaborate?
@bedroomblue5947 Жыл бұрын
@@kimmi4242 Phase 1, Fat is on 4 legs, not enraged. He does charged fireball and stays on 4 legs. He does another charged fireball and transition to 2 legs
@kimmi4242 Жыл бұрын
@@bedroomblue5947 thaanks I understand now! I thought you refered to the normal fireballs xD. Maybe I'm wrong, but I specifically remember trying to get a good vid shot of Fatty transitioning after the Charged Fireball, but he wouldn't do it after multiple tries with the charged fireballs. I think the transition is tied to time (or maybe it's just RNG, not sure), since he'll also transition after around the same time without the fireball.

*Corrections Part 2 of 2: Leg and Aerial state Mechanics* _Short Answer:_ When Fatty decides to chance leg stance depends on the number of attacks he has done. In P1, he is guranteed to change after 15 attacks. This changes to 7 attacks in P2/P3. Aerial works the same way, with Fatty going aerial after 50 attacks. He will land again after 7. Do note this system is ignored under special cases, such as standing on platforms or clutching. _Long Answer:_ The game has an internal counter that counts the number of attacks Fatty has done, which resets if his leg stance changes. This system is ignored when standing on platforms, standing inside the metal cover, or clutching onto Fatty. In P1, after 7 attacks, there is a 10% chance fatty will change his leg stance. After 15 attacks, he will always change leg stance. From 2 -> 4 legs, Fatty will use natural bodyslam if target is close, or stand up naturally if target is far away. From 4 -> 2 legs, Fatty will instead use Charged Fireball if close, or stand up naturally if far away. In P2 and P3, Fatty will now always change leg stance after 7 attacks. This system is independent on the newly changed attacks where Fatty will now always change leg stance. From 2 -> 4 legs, if target is close enough, there is a 65% Fatty will do natural bodyslam and 35% he will do Flame Shower. If target is far away, Fatty will do the drag Charge. From 4 -> 2 legs, Fatty will do Charged Fireball if target is close, and slither Charge if target is far away. When Fatty goes aerial is similar. After 35 attacks, there's a 10% chance Fatty will go aerial. After 50 attacks, Fatty will always go into the air. On 4 legs, he will always go aerial passively. On 2 legs, Fatty will go aerial with a fireball if target is close, but go up passively if target is far away. He will always land again after 7 attacks. _Source:_ em013_00.thk, node_012 & node_013 (Leg state); node_003 (Aerial)

Can i the charged fire ball ? I try with evade window 5 and sometime i still get hit and sometime i can the charged fire ball
@kimmi4242Ай бұрын
I have tried rolling through it with Evade Window lv5 and have heard of people saying they did it with as low as lv1. It may feel inconsistent, and I've been told it is because the fireball's hitbox starts at the center and travels out shortly after. So ideally, you would want to stand slightly away from the impact center, and dodge in towards the center when the explosion hits.

Can you do the same for AT Velkhana ?

@@Bajancheese90 Unfortunately, I haven't fought AT Velkhana that much. I mostly fought Fatty x). The closest equivalent guide I know, is The Artful Dodger by Taxman HH

can you evade the charged fireball? i think you need evade window tho?
@kimmi42423 ай бұрын
I've personally only evaded the Charged Fireball with Evade Window lv3, but I think I've seen clips of other people doing it with only lv1. I usually never try to roll through the explosion though, unless I have Evasion Mantle. The evade can feel incosistent though. I've been told it is because the fireball's hitbox starts at the center and travels out shortly after. So ideally, you would want to stand slightly away from the impact center, and dodge in towards the center when the explosion hits.

Can u do this format on the other elder dragon’s?
@kimmi42422 ай бұрын
I don't know other elder dragons well enough to be able to do that (Yes I only hunted Fatty xD). There does exist similar guides other people have made: Alatreon - "Alatreon - The Complete Guide" by TorpedoSoup is a Moveset guide like this video + some extra tips. Velkhana/Nergigante/Lunastra/Namielle - Monster Hunter PH have made a series of vids named "The Artful Dodger" that contains info on how to doge the most common attacks for some elder dragons (and a few other non elder). Kirin - "GS Advanced Monster Guide" by Bread is a great sword guide, but still contains usefull info about Kirin's attacks and where you can stand to avoid them. There may exist similar guides of other Elder Dragons I don't know of.
