@@AStanton1966 Actually, the cops are allowed to use whatever they want in their duties. Especially those available to a civilian. Just because they are police officers doesn't mean they aren't afforded "the basic right to self-defence available to every person in the US" unless a crime is happening upon them or aligning with stereotypical forms of violence against cops. So you can keep fantasizing about the criminal suing the officer and taking over his house, cause that's never gonna happen and the perp is dead. Oh and I'm sorry you feel angry about police winning another firefight against a criminal, please mirror those feelings in a youtube comment section all day womp womp.

@AStanton1966 That's interesting. I thought my initial statement was clear enough. Let me be clearer, I am a criminal defense attorney in Florida and I know the law better than a tractor sitting 58 year old. I reviewed your youtube channel, you are not qualified to argue with me. Reflect your biases against the police somewhere else. Once again, just because people are working in the capacity of a law enforcement officer, does NOT mean they are deprived of the rights afforded to every american citizen besides police protocol.

First question of domestic violence: Are there any guns here? Has the person expressed threats of deadly force? The woman didn’t tell the police he had a gun?

Shut the front door!! A friend of mine lived in those apartments a bit ago. My first time hearing about this. Edit: Theres got to be a way to keep these mentally insane people from having guns. I know its not really possible, but damn.

We need to provide better mental health care for our first responders and veterans returning from wars. These are good, brave men. My late husband was a Captain in the Army during the Vietnam War with disabilities and committed suicide a few months ago. He expressed many of the same feelings and ideas that Nygard was expressing. He was not going to be taken alive. He also had these suicidal ideations. Had bad work reviews. Thought the world was persecuting him. Had anger issues. Our veterans are not bad men, or criminals trying to get better. They are sick men trying to get well. There should be no assumption on the part of society that these brave men come home mentally well. Mental health treatment should be an ongoing necessary condition of receiving veteran's benefits and pensions. Maybe tragedies like these could be avoided. It's horrific to see the violent death of a loved one. I pray for mercy, healing and forgiveness every day.

Crazy he had a back up on him. My dad was a cop and I never met a patrolman that carried a second sidearm

You cant charge a dead person anymore so investigating is not longer necessary inhope the charges that he get even thoe his dead gets approved and is able to be penalized.

"My partner tells me I need to put handcuffs on you" is a phrase you NEVER EVER tell a suspect; even less one prone to violence. Not armchair quarterbacking; but speaking from decades of LEO experience. Tragic situation.
