I have been meaning to adjust more meaning into that part of the story. One of the beautiful parts of D&D is treasure is not required to be locked into gold. Too many DMs spam gold some should but not as many as do.

Just a note of criticism. The delirium contamination mechanic is a cool concept and the 6 levels of progression are fine, but the fact that every time a monster in Drakkenheim does anything, you gain a level of contamination makes it too punishing. That rat's bites should not cause contamination, I don't care how purple it's eyes are. That should be reserved for highly concentrated areas, delirium magic, high level monster's abilities, and touching raw delirium directly (not delivered through a rat or fish person's body). When my book arrives and I run a Drakkenheim campaign, that's how I plan to do it at least.

I think the only reason he did it that way this time was just to have fun, and that at this point they have lots of anti contamination items and are high level. It's Is a bit ridiculous, but they were having a good time lol so not a problem at the end of the day. And absolutely! run the game how you feel is fair

The magic missile was a pretty genius move, well done. Shows when it's most useful. And the team had better take some time to purge contaminations now, else they risk losing it all. Really looking forward to Wilhelm finally meeting Lucretia. It was a bit funny how he saw an actual angel appear and the first thing he can manage is "they bad". Sure, the Falling Fire priests being taken over by a mind flayer in the swamp gave him the wrongest of impressions, but still - really hope they'll interact in person soon so she might give him an "everything you thought you knew about us was wrong" moment.

I’m watching this episode where they’re deciding how to fly to the clock tower and I’m silently screaming for them to fly near rooftop level. They’ll avoid being silhouetted against the sky from below and difficult to see from above. Those on the ground will only have a few moments to observe them as they fly by. Stay to the short side streets as the turns will limit opportunities for observation.

That is what happens when you don't co-ordinate your initial attack, don't scout first, let an evil warlock do your scouting for you, and let an evil warlock call the attack (which he has no intention of joining) and thus go into a huge fight all on your own. I swear they try to make things more difficult for themselves. Fun yes, but my nerves are shot.

Wow, that Ray of contamination seems to be a tremendously OP spell! And i don't understand the mechanics that make the hit a constitution save. I get the con save on a hit for the contamination level (but 3?), but the hit should be a ranged attack, shouldn't it?

Sorry, Jill, but you shouldn't have been able to cast magic missile then. You used your bonus action for misty step, and sense you used a bonus action to cast a spell, the only spell you can cast on your turn is a cantrip with a casting time of 1 action

Scrawler must have 40ft of movement. Because Wilhelm had to use cunning action to move 30ft but scrawler got to move 35ft after attacking. Seems right??

@@Centhar thank you so much. Wow, what can i say. My players are LOVING my drakkenheim inspired campaign, contagion rules adding so much tension and depth to the apocalyptic setting. Mine is an inverse drakken heim where the city is the only safe place high in mountains while the locations are distant areas they must spend 1-2 days travel to reach, all the while facing contagion and random encounters. The first time they tried to use telepathic communication into the haze was memorable as the characters face rotted off and he went blind!

Slight correction to the Fly math. 60 feet per round is 1200 feet per minute if they dash each turn (except Wilhelm, who can actually dash twice per turn, giving him 1800 feet per minute). So actually 3-4 minutes instead of 6-7.

Problem is, dashing like that outside of combat for prolonged amounts of time will cause them to most likely start gaining points exhaustion. Which isn't worth it unless they know they have no other choice.

@@MrSeals1000 yeah, but we're talking less than 5 minutes for characters with superhuman levels of physical abilities. I certainly wouldn't even make them make a save against exhaustion for that short a time.

Ray of contamination was an attack roll right? Or does it count as a spell for the sake of uncanny dodge? Cause kelly could've halved that damage

tbh i don't see why they should act like a bunch of clowns when venturing forth on a mission. drakkenforce can do that kind of liberty because they are one chaotic bunch but the duskwardens are not. 1st of all the duskwardens are made up of older adventurers (except for wrath of course) and they should act according to their age. i am not saying that they should be bloody serious all the time. they can quip jokes when there's no encounter.

Squirrels are only able to survive terminal velocity because of their tails. So I assume a rat doesn't have enough drag to survive terminal velocity

A rat's terninal velocity is incredibly low. They can typically fall from any height and immediately keep walking afterwards.
