Something I've discovered doing music (rap specifically) is that while all the intricate ways you can twist a sentence to show off your writing skills is awesome and all, sometimes (most times, I'd argue) nothing beats a simple line delivered with just the right energy. His madness enhancement is weaker, his master is pretty awful compared to Illya, he didn't have Godhand protecting him from all but the highest tier of weapons... Arguably, just from how much stuff Herc has over him, Lance-boy was putting him to shame during the dogfight even if that is mostly just Eternal Arms Mastery doing it's thing couple with a bit of Protection of the Spirits. It is indeed mainly about taunting/insulting Herc, but there is no denying it's pretty much the closest Archer Gil will get to complimenting a mongrel openly stealing his shit.

It does leave Zerkerlot with a lot more "ammo" in case his breaks but that is pretty much it. It's the Eternal Arms Mastery and insane stats Lancelot has that really let him keep his ground decently enough. Oh, and i was clearly talking about how Lancelot was putting HERACLES to shame with how far he got with so little resources by comparison. Especially considering that Gil wasn't even really trying all that hard against Heracles either

Amazing. Oh yeah I just realized that Lancelot actually did give Gilgamesh a lot more trouble then Heracles. Though in fairness Knight of Owner and Eternal Arms Mastery are an excellent counter to the Gate of Babylon and Berserker is the big guys worst class. Also Enkidu was kind of like a Homunculus so seeing Illiya dead would bring up some bad memories for Gilgamesh nice touch.

Also, it's a straight banger.

While the song is certainly a catharsis for Ruby, it reflects the pain felt by her mother in ultimately failing her child, which is how Berserker is positioned. Ilya reflecting the grief of Ruby and Berserker reflecting the grief of Ruby's mother is pretty spot on. The best piece is that the relationship between Ilya and Berserker is a redemption of the trauma they've experience, and so while the relationship isn't a direct one like Ruby and her mother, its overall theme of trying to resolve family trauma is spot on to the relationship Ilya and Berserker have.

To those saying Gilgamesh technically has four NPs, please note that Ea is part of the GoB. I presume people's confusion is coming from assuming it's considered seperate, but its lore notes it as the gate's greatest weapon. As important and iconic as it is, it's just another weapon stored within the gate. Enkidu has existed seperately from the gate however. Also remember that what characters say and what's factual correct often diverge due to perspective. Our characters aren't reading from wikias. It would be stiffling if they were.

Like most things with Gilgamesh, it...*half* worked. Archer Gilgamesh is basically Gil's edgy teen phase - an edgy teen phase that lasted so long and was so intense it went down in literal legend as the ultimate edgy teen phase and altered the universe's laws, creating the Throne of Heroes. It also was not a good combo with the absolute and immense power he possesses, then or now.

My own Head canon is that Heracles divinity as he transcended to Godhood is tied to his 12 labors. The second the twelve labors were up, so was his own divinity. At that point Enkidu is just God enhanced steel rather than the might that can chain the heavens themselves

As strong as Gilgamesh is compared to most servants, there are things in Nasuverse that Gilgamesh most likely have a problem fighting such as the BEASTs, TYPEs or probably some Grand Servants at full power. As for Ea, while it is one of the strongest NP in terms of destructive capability, we know that it isn't unstoppable since Avalon was able to just block it, who knows there are probably other NP that might be able to slow or block it.
