This happened to a buddy of mine, dude watched his kid in the parking lot when he got divorced. I always saw his car, and gave him a subtle thumbs up when we passed, just to let him know his son was doing well. We'd often talk over the phone, mostly about his son, how his grades are, and if he has any new friends. I always recorded the sports events for him, put them on flashdrives, and left them in secret spots, just so he could watch his son play the games. I was honest with my friend, about me recording the games for his father, and every game, when it ended, he asked me to record a message to his father. It was usually the same speal 'I miss you, i'm doing well, I know this wasn't your choice, and I don't blame you, thank you for watching the game, and when I'm 18 I'll come find you.' I probably broke the law somewhere, maybe the father did too, but knowing my buddy could still talk to his dad, at least through me meant a lot when they met up when he finally hit 18. It's like a day didn't go by, they knew each other, what they were doing, and how it was going.

The "private notes" : "The father regularly compares his unattainable successes at school with the child’s stumbles. He encourages the child to quit school duties in order to spend more time with him. The father’s constant attempts to manage his child’s time by adding more private lesson can have a negative impact on his healthy development. The father is apparently trying to re - enter the mother’s family life by persuading the child to spy for the father. Jealousy can turn into constant persecution on the part of the father. In my opinion, the father is not able to raise his daughter properly. In my opinion, an hour a month is too much . It is suggested to further limit the father's contact with the child."

I hate mother figures like this and any woman in general who would pull a stunt like this. The system needs to be fixed desperately since the mother pretty much always gets the child. especially if the mother is selfish like she most typically will be. Honestly, if the child wants to be with the father, they should be allowed to, but yet the system says no. Men can pull this manipulative behavior too, but the court system still shouldn’t be swayed to only women. It should be fair. My father was an alcoholic, and my mother most likely suffer from cluster b personality disorder. The court decided the custody of my brother and me should go to her with visitation every second weekend (often once a month, because she could withhold us without any repercussions). I never saw my father drink, and I remember how sick he was whenever we visited him due to withdrawals (we didn't really know back then, of course), but he soldiered on trying to make sure we had as much fun at his place as possible. In the meanwhile my brother and I would suffer through several of my mothers failed relationships, her extremely destructive personality, and daily had to listen to how she shit talked our father. Several times she tried to make us talk about him drinking when we visited him, so she could use it against him to get full custody. One day I told my father I wanted to live with him (at age 13 I'd be able to choose freely), but he convinced me to wait a few more years, so my brother wouldn't be alone with my mom/boyfriend of the month. Unfortunately years of drinking had done its damage to his body, and he passed away when I was 9. It wasn't until years later I learned from my aunt that a few weeks prior he had entered a rehab program so he could be ready to take care of us when the time came. Despite his faults and alcoholism he was a way better parent than my mother ever could be. So to all the fathers out there who has practically lost their kids due to a morally corrupt court system: Don't give up and don't drop out of your children's lives. Even if they don't quite understand the situation you mean more to them than you can possibly imagine.

I know it can sound weird to break with someone who is practically mentally ill instead of helping them, especially when that person is your mother, but CBP/BPD is extremely destructive to the sufferer and everyone in their lives. I think about this so much. As you know, single motherhood has absolutely skyrocketed, I believe from 5 - 10% to now 45% in a few decades. Imagine if we had a father to help us lift weights regularly starting at age 16, 17, etc. Imagine if we had a father who said "here, come work at my corporation, paid training, benefits, everything" at 18. You're now fit, certified, lifelong employment stability, socially well-adjusted, everything. When society condemns a 30-year-old NEET, ask if he ever had a father that helped him. For boomers, it was a given. You had a father to help your health, wealth, and relationships. To teach you, mentor you, and support you. For us, did we ever have any father figure at all?
