I still cry & remember how much he slipped away through our fingers and we lost him. Such a beautiful soul and all of his gifts were treasures! I still miss him and forever will! By the time of this concert in 1993, Anselmo had died - that GM was able to do this is so amazing. It's hard to think of him as the young bouncing dancing young man he was less than 8 years earlier with everything he went through by this time. I was lucky enough to hear him live, back in 2007. All his performances are top notch. I mean... to sing in studio quality is much harder than one can think. And damn, how sharp he was. Paying respect to his audience and even the art itself. I always said that even though I'm a straight man, I can't imagine any man sexier than George. When I was younger, I tried to copy his style but of course I wasn't hardly an epigon of him.
