You are actually right. Zeref fears Acnologia. Zeref is feared by the whole humanity for centuries. And yet, he himself fears Acnologia. That shows how terryfying Acnologia is.

That’s cause at the time nobody had enough power to kill acnologia and Zeref is immortal so he’ll be the only person to live if acnologia wipes out everyone and then tortured by Acnologia for eternity never able to die.
