Actually, most of the story takes place in one kingdom, which is named Fiore. This country however has a substantial size _(you will also note that it has similar shape as Spain)_ and many different towns and settlements. Other countries which get mentioned from time to time are located mostly on the same continent. The name of that continent is Ishgar. The seat of the magic guild Fairy Tail is located in the town named Magnolia. It's the town whose panoramic image you can clearly see in the opening 17. Fairy Tail is the only magic guild in Magnolia, but in other towns there are other magic guilds, as well as many other non-magic guilds. (Merchant guilds, mercenary guilds, etc.)

Fairy tail is the name of the guild and the history follows the characters that are members of this guild. Every guild has its own mark it's the tatoo on the characters. The opening 22 (Fairy Tail zero), is the history of the foundation of the guild.

Yes. It was like 80% of the series, they are fighting. But the final few openings are the openings of the War arc. So that's the arc like All of the episodes, all the characters are fighting.

Basically, the story of FairyTail is about a group of wizards who are members of a guild named Fairy Tail accepting a request as their job, so that's why you see them going into different places to do their job request about fighting bad guys from dark guilds and some jobs they encounters includes fighting monsters and demons. Dragons also played a big role in the story especially at the later part of the series.

Soft Spoiler The issue with this regardless of what the authors say the actual series he wrote places more emphasis on the collective than any sole induvial. the show isn't following Nastu like Luffy, Guku, ands etc. For example Luffy goal is to be Pirate King the whole show is build around Luffy goal to become the Pirate King, Natsu' goal is to find he father but fairy Tail story isn't center around Natsu's goal at all. Then During the series 300 plus ep show The show gives over 31 Fairy tail members backstory alone and each is important to that arc sometimes they important to multiple arcs. This create a pattern, some members are more important than others but your actually following the guild as summary. So you can't think like Oh this is the Netsu show, this what story is going to be about because it's not it's about the Guild. The narrative of the Show actuality follow Lucy, We learn about Fairy tail as she learns about Fairy tail. If she doesn't know it yet the audience doesn't know it yet either. Then every arc basically have different important characters in fact, until the last few arcs Natsu is not the central figure progressing any of the plots. He's literally just fights the last battles even with him being no where near the most most important character for that arc. For Example Grey is most important Character of Galuna island. Era for Tower of Haven, And Some arcs is more of a collective The Battle of Fairy Tail arc, Oración Seis arc, Edolas arc, Tenrou Island arc etc etc I tell people like this Fairy tale is similar X-Men , What happening Natsu is sort of the flag figure like wolverine. But if you told anyone that Wolverine is main character to X-men you mislead to the broader concept of X-men.

@@draetone5602 Natsu is not an important character especially on the final arc? he's the MC and your saying that? man you need to read the show again and on the sequel it's still focus on Natsu and his team and mashima already set up the villain's especially Ignia who's gonna fight Natsu in the end (probably) just like Zeref and both are his real and step brother Lucy is more of a side character on the sequel but she's still the heroine/narrator and she still has her own goal besides the 100 years quest it's to find the key of aquarius ,I just can't believe you think Natsu is not an important character where the whole plot is about him being E.N.D and destined to kill Zeref (main villain and his brother ) and him trying to find and learn why Igneel disappeared and the disappearance of Igneel is because Natsu and the others was sent to the future where ethernano is strong so at that era they will kill Acnologia and that was revealed on the final arc ,also without Natsu's brother Zeref there's no Fairy tail at all

He's an actual dragon. His name is Igneel and he was like a father figure to Natsu and was also the one who taught Natsu dragon slayer magic.

That mark is the guild insignia it shows what guild a wizard belongs to opening 5 showed the marks of a few other guilds in the series.

Natsu uses a type of magic called dragon slayer. He is the fire dragon slayer which allows him to use and be immune to fire. That punch seen in the opening is called the fire dragon iron fist he also has a wing attack and the fire dragon roar. Gajeel the main villain in the second arc and the one shown fighting Natsu in opening 2 is the iron dragon slayer like with Natsu he uses magic based around his element of iron. When dragon slayers eat their element it also renews his or her strength.

Opening 13 is the grand magic games they are competing against each other to see who is the strongest guild. At least that is what they are told there was another reason behind the games you will find out about if you watch the series.

Fairy tail is about a guild that the main focus of the guild's in ft universe is mage's doing a lot of jobs in order to get money and live etc etc. thats why you see them travel a lot . As for fairy tail (the anime ) is a good anime with the same cliche things they do to all shonen anime . Fairy tail knows that the main power system of ft is that in order to protect your family (guild) you will do everything to achieve that and the power of the feelings is one of the main sources in the anime . Ft has verry good backstories and it focus and on other members of the guild not only the main squad. Its full with emotional things( tries to make you feel bad for something even if its not so bad but it makes a good job making it feel like the worst thing) its a fun anime if you want to see it . If you can handle the whole nakama power its verry nice .

Gray often winds up stripping out of his clothes often without even realizing he's doing it. He was trained by an Ice maker magic wizard who said to first master ice make magic one first had to master the cold itself. They would go out in the middle of blizzard like conditions in nothing but their underwear. Gray started doing it in places that he should not which is kind of a running joke in the series. Maker magic is actually one of the more powerful types of magic in the series because it allows a user to create almost anything. Later on in the series there will be a member of the 7 kin of purgatory will have a type of lost magic that creates anything the user thinks into reality called arc of embodiment.

Except for the Edolas arc and at the start of the Alvarez arc everything happens in the same kingdom. They travel on various jobs using their magic to make a living which is why it always shows them traveling or returning home to the guild in many openings.

The story is built on the adventures of members of the same guild. Initially, a girl with blonde hair was the main character, but then the focus shifted to the pink-haired firebender Natsu. The story is very naive, and often tries to squeeze out emotions, which it is damn good at. The only problem is that by the middle of the story you stop worrying about the characters, because even when someone dies, he is resurrected, often in the most sophisticated way. As for Natsu, he was raised by a dragon and became a dragon slayer. All his magic is based on fire, which he can feed on to enhance his abilities, and which does not harm him.

The overall theme is magic, what they do is kind of ever-changing because it kind of changes with the arc and most arcs have changing plots, and they’re a lot shorter than most long running anime. once you get to a certain point, though the objective gets pretty clear as a certain character appears in every opening

I don't know how you can listen to all these openings and come away with thinking only three are good. Ontop of that you think 8 is good, sorry but that's the only one I HATE with a burning passion. It sounds flat as hell and the worst version of rap I ever heard, ontop of that it clashes with the arc it appears in so heavily the first time I heard it it was such a jarring whiplash. To this day it's the only anime opening I ever really skip.
