Wow, this is one of those videos where it's hard to even imagine how they pulled this off. One shot during dawn, no visible cuts, so many variables with people/cars in the background. Directed by Emma Tillman too. Fantastic job.

Listening to this song takes me back to just walking around the city at night, doing nothing, just walking and enjoying the atmosphere that the night brought. How people kept living and doing their jobs despite the nightfall. It was calming. Relaxing almost.

@@simmy1823 Well the way I see it is that the big man (God) has is customers come in (to heaven) at 5 in the morn - isn't there a phenomenon that people die in the early hours, when the day is just beginning - just like the video is set in the crepuscular light of dawn - God is just opening shop as the days ends/begins. It could also be read in another way that the big man is Josh himself - he is tall (1.88metres) and he admitted in the same verse that he is 'testing the maxim...' as if he's pushing himself to the limit to keep on surviving 'one more day' so maybe he's opening shop as in trying to continue his career/life/survival - however you want to read it.

For anyone interested this is shot in East Village in New York. He starts on East 7th Street right opposite Tompkins Square Park, then he crosses Avenue A onto East 6th Street. Then when it cuts at 2:35 they jump to East 4th Street between Bowery and 2nd Avenue, and he ends up on Bowery.

I didn’t know that Joe Strummer murales tribute is still there! I visited NYC during summer 2012 and read somewhere sometime later that they had taken it down. I'm not sure if I'm even Christian anymore and my mental health is suffering, I'm getting better, but for a while I tried to pray for it to get better.
