I was personally in prison with Susan Smith. She enrolled in my poetry class and by class policy you can't judge any attendees or ask questions. Susan Smith is not sorry for what she did. She has been a very "busy" woman in prison. She slept with a guard, gets fan mail by the dozens, I believe she got pregnant, and she lives like a superstar in prison. Susan has not shed her demons. She killed those babies in the most horrific way and it got her "famous" because of it. The co's were so sick of her demeanor, that they tried to keep her in lockdown away from the gen pop of the prison.

There's a similar case up here in Iowa where a mom and the father left their infant son outside on a swing to die, he had maggots, flies, dirty diaper, died of exposure and both were high on meth and other drugs at the time.Their names were Cheyenne Harris and Paul Koehn both were convicted of 1st degree murder and sentenced to life without parole. In Iowa "life means life" they'll never ever get out only in a pine box leaving prison dead.

We have never forgotten this heinous act...we have two sons almost exactly the same ages as his and were heartbroken when they were found. She should never, ever get out.

She won't get out.. she's been sleeping with the prison guards.. she's been using drugs.. she's done nothing to educate herself.. she's done none of the courses she was supposed to do as part of her rehabilitation process to be able to be eligible for parole and she has shown no signs of remorse or shed one tear for what she did to those little boys. She's done nothing to help her case so they won't let her walk.

There's a channel called Mandoo that shows parole hearings across the country. A grandfather raped his grandchild who was listed as "older than 3, but you get than 12". He served two years and was up for parole. They paroled him.

remind the parole board exactly what she did. Remind them that one of the boys had a fear of water, and tell parole board to just imagine the terror those kids felt as the car was sinking and filling with water. Finally remind them their own mother did this to them just to be with a guy who didnt want kids around. Parole will be denied

I remember when this happened and I lived in the area. Not only did she unalive her children, she also blamed it on a black man. Yes, it was 30 years ago, but it's the South and she basically put out a bounty on black mens heads. I said it to my friends and family, I don't know where the kids are, but her car is at the bottom of a lake. That area was a busy intersection and there was no way someone carjacked her from it without seeing it. Just no way. I can't believe it's been 30 years, but I agree with most, she needs to stay in prison.

You know, here is something that SOMEONE could do something about. Either the system Susan is in, or David’s Attorney, should be informing him on the parole system, and about the possibility of her getting out on parole. I mean SOMEONE in that system should step in and have Mercy on this man and help ease his mind. I can’t even imagine what he’s been through. And then to entertain the worry about putting on her “pitiful face”, someone falling for it, and the what if, of her getting parole. Refusing parole, It won’t give him his son’s back, but it might give him a little more sanity.

Sir, I can promise you, NO ONE in America will have sympathy for that monster! I remember this case as if it was yesterday. I remember the shock waves sent through people across the country. I remember this Father completely breaking down, inconsolable and beyond traumatized… it was and is still heart wrenching. I think speaking from the heart is the best thing for him to do, because his children live in his heart. That demonic woman should NEVER get out of prison!!! There is NO excuse for considering such a horrible decision!!!!

For David's reassurance, it is very very unlikely that Susan will get parole this time. Not only has she never truly shown real remorse, she has had numerous misconducts in prison, the most recent one a couple of weeks ago. I think I read somewhere that she doesn't even think she's getting parole after that and she is distraught... 😂 I love happy endings

Killing her kids is bad enough, but the way she killed those babies was torture. They would be around my age now(33). It hurts to think about how confused and scared they were wondering why their mommy wasn't helping them and i didnt even know them. I can't imagine this mans pain. She shouldn't even be sharing oxygen with us.

This case broke my heart when it happened. I had two little boys the same age as these little boys. They did not have a chance at life. She should NOT either. I wanted the death penalty here. Life means LIFE.

This poor guy. Even though they were divorced, he completely supported her until she confessed. I’ll never forget seeing him at the boys’ funeral. He was absolutely devastated. He could barely walk. From what I’ve heard, Susan has had some behavioral issues in prison. I sincerely hope she doesn’t ever get out.
