My family was sitting right in front of Zachary and his parents and I almost caught the ball myself. It was surreal being that close to history. Everyone was screaming at the top of their lungs and high five-ing when the ball cleared the fence, except the two Yankee fans sitting next to us. Zachary became an instant celebrity with everyone around us wanting to take pictures with him and the ball. I told him I was very happy for him and congratulated his mom and dad. Yeah, I would have liked to have caught the ball myself, but for me, the best part was that I was able to spend an incredible evening with my family and some close friends. Oh, and by the way, I was also able to experience a lifetime memory of one of the greatest baseball games together with my family. I'm sure Zachary and his parents feel the same way. Go Dodgers!!!

Smart boy at the end said it best: (1) meet Freddie, (2) get it signed, (3) then get it authenticated. Then sit on it til it’s worth who knows what in the future. Kid can get season tickets to Dodgers the rest of his life paid for by the ball.

Are stadiums not authenticating balls anymore?
@jonathanTwolfzАй бұрын
I think he is talking about authenticating that it was the grand slam ball and not any other ball from the game
@airtioteclintАй бұрын
@@jonathanTwolfz that's the stadiums job. I don't think they authenticate random foul balls or balls the players throw into the stands after an inning. Because without authentication, that's what every ball is. Homerun balls and especially world series grand slam balls should definitely be immediately authenticated by them.
@superstringsbroАй бұрын
@@airtioteclintit's someone from MLB that does the authentication, not the dodgers or the stadium.

@@superstringsbro ok then... Why didn't someone from mlb authenticate it?
