Nyx alone (Goddess of Sleep), was said to have produced Thanatos (death), Hypnos (sleep), the Moirai (Fates), Nemesis (retribution), and many other dark phenomena. Nyx was named as a Protogenoi (a first born deity) by Hesiod, and two of her children were also named as Protogenoi; these being Aether and Hemera. Strangely though Aether and Hemera were not “dark” deities, for Aether was air, and the source of the sky’s light, whilst Hemera was the Greek goddess of the Day. Each being created from Dugares embodies an aspect of the mind. Forsight, hindsight, memory, tiredness, sight, dreams and sleep.

You’re misunderstanding the “Alkaline” bit. Reminder that Vessel OFTEN shows his intelligence in his lyrics uses complex scientific concepts (like Aqua Regia, Synapses, Oxytocin, etc.) Alkaline in chemistry terms generally just means “Basic”. So Acid is the opposite of Alkaline. So “She’s not acid not alkaline” is another one of those lines like “Not quite either day or night”.
